I fell off the wagon about a year ago. Not that I wanted to but I was having some serious issues with my teeth and gums. Most likely due to a couple decades of smoking cigarettes.

Because of my problems with abscesses and exposed nerves, vaping was giving me an incredible amount of tooth pain. Not sure if it had to do with the flavoring in the juices or what but it would put me into agonizing pain. But for some reason, cigarettes didn't. I ended up going back to smoking which was supposed to only be temporarily but here I am a year later with a two pack a day habit.

The bad teeth have been extracted but I really don't know where to go from here. Transitioning a second time is going to be much harder because the market is entirely different.

I tried picking up where I left off but choke like crazy. Unfortunately because the entire B&M market is set up for hobby vaping now, I can't go into a shop and experiment to see what will work this time. I mean I started off with a cheap eGo which was almost instantly replaced with an MVP 2. But as vaping evolved, I started getting used to more advanced gear. Can someone who owns three DNA mods, a Hex Ohm 2.1and an SX350j mod pull his old Nautilus out and tootle puff again? Or do I build one of my old Tugboat V2's with some 26 gauge and order a couple of 12mg bottles since the shops refuse to stock it anymore?

Now these are questions I really should be able to answer for myself but right now I have absolutely no direction. It just seemed so much easier the first time around.

Somewhere out there
If you like what you have I would stick with it. Just be sure to have replaceable batt mods and rebuildable tanks for the dark ages when all the regs come down. I found what I like and stuck with that. For me it is Provape Radius for a mod and Kayfun lite plus tanks. I like the old style of vaping :)

I have a tank sitting on my sx right now. As for your teeth, I'm no dentist and not claiming to be one but me and my friend we just discussing this same topic the other day. Our bottom teeth will get real sensitive and hurt when we vape really sweet juices. That's why I do a fruity menthol and a tobacco. Sometimes I just prefer unflavored. I cannot do an extra sweet one very long, maybe a tank or two every now and then. Some juice makers add a lot of extra sweetener to their juices. Try something not to sweet. Like I said I'm not a Dr or Dentist. This is just my experience and opinion. Good luck and VAPE ON.

Try a single coil, 26g around 1ohm. You should get a nice nic hit, even with 6mg, though 12mg might be better if you can get it. I prefer small chamber RDAs, you get nice warm dense vapor, plenty for the visual but not so much that you can't use the higher nic liquid. Also, remember that we're always here for you :)

When you go back to smoking, you basically are starting all over again as far as, well, everything. Yes, tootie puffing is a good thing, and nothing to feel any particular way about.. vaping is an individual experience, and it's whatever suits you.

My favorite vape is the p3 with a Kabuki tank using aspire nautilus mini bvc coils.. (and honestly that's cause I like the flavor best) my second fav is the provari 2.5 with the nautilus mini.. still looking for that perfect rta for me.. lol..

Just vape what you enjoy.. if you want, then get something that vapes between 8 - 15 watts or so and use your mini and see how that goes for you..

Vape high VG mix for the throat, vape at lower wattage for your throat, drink more, stay off the sweeter juices if you need to, brush your teeth more often if vaping effects your teeth. There are many choices still in the lower wattage range..

If you build, then slap higher ohm mtl rta on a single battery tube mod and be happy.. :)

I vape different things for different reasons throughout the day.

80w with 3mg gives me my nic fix and flavor. But makes me nic sick of over done.

P3 with Nautilus two and high nic keeps my hands busy and can vape it non stop and never get much nic.

So for me no one thing was the answer.

when one goes back to smoking and wants to return to vaping, the most common error is thinking they can grab the system they had last and go again... nope it doesnt work. One pretty much has to start all over again with the Ego/CE4 type of vape production... start lite and then build up to the heavy hitting vape.

Tootle puff your way back into it. I'm using similar mods that I used before my hiatus and it took a while to stop coughing every vape. I prefer higher ohms and less wattage than the normal seems to be these days. That's okay with me because I'm just about finished with cigs, from 25 to 6 to 4 and now just 2 a day. I was so disappointed at my local vape shop. They had nothing but subohm and sweet, sweet juice. I bought their only 510 drip tip. I don't see how anyone can quit on that kind of gear.

You mean you don't like gummy crumble grape cereal creme ejuice in 1.5 mg, vaping it with a drip tip the size of a quarter? [emoji16]

Apparently not. I'm vaping diy mint in an AIO eGo 90% of the time, but I do tailpipe the ol' Chevy when I need a good lung hit.

I started with Nautilus & 30w istick. Didn't quit until I discovered sub ohm vaping. I haven't fell off the wagon, but I would have to get new gear to make me get happy about giving up cigs again. Point is - find what puts you in a good place. As for drip tips & flavor... I started using nip tips from Trinity Glass & never looked back. Look kind of funny on some tanks, don't care. Love them. Good luck.

Mouthwash
Saline rinse
Brush every time something solid goes in your mouth (with or without toothpaste)
Gargle
Peroxide if necessary (rinse, gargle or brush)

Be diligent this time.

After acclimating you can ease up slowly until you get back to a normal routine.
