I was trying to figure out which famous character that is, peeking at us (pretending he's the moon) in the top right corner.

I was pretty excited about the doors I was making before; still am, I love 'em. But when this thing made it's way out of that chunk of DennisWood, I thought, "wow, this is a whole nuther level here".

2 things.

Apparently, Tree has a thing for Dennis' wood. So that's good, I guess.

Also, Yeah, I totally thought it was a night sky kin'a thing too.

Indeed! You've outdone yourself. Your skill and Dennis' wood.... er... I mean...tree parts....love the hole....er....wait....the squo...Oh, you know what I mean.

My son's GF is a exotic stone nut and is hoping to see sumpin' in stone next.

Rock n' roll, Royal Mounted Canadian! I love the idea of inlay/mosaics! Btw. I coated the back of the door with CA as early in the game as possible. I felt an immediate "strengthening"/stiffening. When I finished the rails, I coated those too. I cropped the corners (tips, tops&bottom cornerlets) of the rails to eliminate that breaking point. When the face was done, I coated that twice with CA (sanding to 1500 between coats), then finished it off with fine furniture wax (2 coats). It ain't perfect, and it ain't strong; but it's just strong enough for me to decide to go without backers on the subsequent ones too. You can't "skateboard" on it, but you can use it without fear (unless you're clumsy . . . . ., D, :p)
