I've been looking at getting something like a reo or some other non-ego pv. I've been pretty good with not going crazy in the shopping department. I've narrowed down my liquid and thus now don't really waste any vaping cash.

Then a friend, who really needs to quit smoking due to some major health reasons, and has kids expressed interest but kept putting it off due to finances.

I ended up ordering a kit and liquids and shipping it to the friend. I'm hoping perhaps I'll have fantastic shipping karma or something for the next while :)

Back to saving.....

Thanks guys for all the karma wishes :) I hope it works out for her. I've also shipped a lot of stray liquids I have as since the BWB and Boba's... I'm really not touching them.

My ego gear has served me well, and will no doubt continue to do so. I'll get around to expanding the pv collection eventually, right now i'm still all about 306 atties and Boba ;)

Good on ya sam.8! What goes around comes around in this life, and your willingness to help a friend out will surely not go unnoticed by the vaping Gods! Plus, your good will is just another example why this forum is more like a brotherhood than anything else!

To keep up with this "story". She has taken to the ego really well (had tried mine a few months ago). We went through the basics in person and after one day all seems to be going smoothly. Her kids are extremely happy with their mom's fake cigarette. She always kept her smoking on the down low and a few weeks ago was fully busted by her 5 year old, who needless to say was really upset.

I also wanted to say that this is a really amazing forum full of amazingly generous people, and reading other stories like this I'm sure was one of the reasons the decision to just buy one for her came from. So maybe if someone else ends up reading this and does something similar the vaping karma will spread :)

Last report I recieved was that it was going really well except the morning. Seems that's pretty normal for some people. I'm popping in for a visit this coming weekend so I'll get a few samples of 24mg and see if that helps the morning hump. She really never smoked as much as I did, but then again I smoked really light cigarettes and with 24mg I had zero interest in real ones. Highest I gave her was 18. So hopefully that'll do the trick :)

I loaded my friend up this weekend with 30 ml of 18mgX2 flavours, 24mg and something around 30mg so he couldn't say he needed more nicotine also a 510 passthrough and a 1000 ego. All the conversions people are talking about have me trying to push it on to people I really care about again. I just told him if he doesn't like it/use it give it back so I can regift it to someone else with a new atty and cart of course. His wife is evil about smoking though so I'm pretty sure at the very least he will be 100% off cigarettes at home.

One thing that ecf has been fantastic for is hearing other people's stories of converting people, or themselves, given how different it seems to be for everyone. I took to it really easily, and would likely have been harder on my friend if it wasn't for getting info from other that the transition isn't neccessarily as easy for others.

Couldn't agree more, and yea I just stick with all the ego stuff it's good enough for a beginner to quit the habit and I use it all if they fail which most have :( but that stupid darwin, I can't stop thinking about it....

I hear ya....the darwin, and the fact that HV is carrying it, does have this pull towards it. I do think I'm holding out for a reo tho. Four months in....likely my six month "happy anniversary to me" gift :) And I really can't complain...the ego works for me. I like the size and shape.

edit.. then there's also the vapemate and/or ego booster.... decisions, decisions ;)
