This is what I got:
IMAG0120.jpg | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Nothing like breakthru's or tuero's. I just set up for an 18650 or 2x 15270's (3v ea.)
I didnt polish it yet, and the switch was the ONLY switch that rat shack had its only rated for .5a so Its all sealed except the battery end and top part. Its pinched tight but can remove. I have another ti8100 at my in-laws house and didnt feel like waiting to go get it. So I am thinking when the switch dies theres only a 3/16" hole so a nice mosfet touch is in order and I got my 2nd ti board. Breakthru has some awesome schematics and tueros switch will find a home in my mod. Thanks guys. I know its just a reg basic, nothing special mod but I guess its ok to have the "Hey my new mod" feeling!

Vari Volt Booster Regulator w/ Digital Pot - Copper Mod
and

Basically you need 3/4" type L copper pipe, I used 2 3/4" couplers and they come with and with out stoppers. Get them with out stoppers, and I used (2) 3/4" end caps. In the bottom end cap I used a 5/16" fender washer with a battery spring left over from a box mod. It was the one with the positive side and neg spring, I folded it in half through the washer and pinched it tight, i fit perfect, then the washer fits very tightly in the end cap, use a socket to press it all the way in. Then from there, the 3/4" copper pipe you cut to length for the batteries, then you will need a stopper for the top of the pipe for the batteries, it has to be plastic or rubber and a brass screw can go through to use as the power post for the batteries, rem that the copper is conductive and is being used as the ground. the couplers slide on over that part, from there depends on what electronics you put in it, just use the other coupler cut a small piece of the copper pipe for both ends and connect the 2 couplers with it and the top end cap also. You have tp pick a switch and a spot for it also, then the battery fitting drill and put in on top all you need is the pos. wire to switch, the connector grounds to the copper pipe. Then all connectors need to be sealed together except the bottom so you can use it to remove the batteries, I also just pressed fit the top so I can remove the switch if needed. I hope this helps, I know I am not the best at write ups but I will give all the help that I can. Thank you.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Good description Drew. Just to clarify, there is a pipe section from the bottom up the length of the batts, then comes the switch, and then another short piece above that? You guys are luck that you can get the M and L grades, couplers without stoppers and the reasonable lengths of repair sleeves. Here it is all thick, dimpled (or a longer crease), and you better replace the whole damaged section. :)

Yes the piece inside can be the whole length for the battys and then the stopper or you still can use two small cut sections, and and the stopper on top (the tube has some weight to it ). If all you have access to is the couplers with stoppers, you can use those also, just file the little nubs inside the coupler and that works fine. I did it too. I was lucky I got the copper pipe in the basement of my in-laws house, there was extra down there. The only thing I saw at home depot were long pieces, not cheap either like 5' for like $8 and couplers, caps, and a tube cutter if u dont have one, like a cheap cutter for that size $8-$15.
