How long does it take you to get through a 16oz bottle? Between my wife and I we probably go through about 7mls a day. So that would be about 65 days to go through that much and that's just one flavor. We have 5 or 6 flavors each that we keep in rotation, so I'm guessing a bottle like that would last us five or six months.

Yeah I just got down to 12mg myself, but the wife is still at 18mg.

Shelf life for ingredients vary. But nothing goes bad in less than a year or two. People freeze nic because it discolors over time. I don't know if it actually hurts the nic

From everything that I've read it doesn't and they say it should be good for at least 3 years. Since I've only been mixing for a little over three months, there's no way for me to know that for sure, but I've got 1500mls of 100mg VG base in the freezer, so I certainly hope it doesn't effect it.

oh i dunno 2 months maybe, pretty sure its a lot less. between drippers and high powered genesis attys it doest take but a few days to eat up 30 ml, this damn kraken I just got eats juice like a '68 caddy uses gasoline lol. one of the best genis i have used though.

but im also a pretty heavy chain vapor, dropping the nic is the only way to keep going LOL - that darn ry4 man! cant seem to stop its just soooooo good. then add to that i rarely change up, i make other flavors just to play with something else once in a while - but im def an ry4 junky.

in most cases the nic in mixed juices just gets weaker over time, keep it sealed and out of the sun/heat and it will last a while.

I have some nic in the freezer from at least 6-7 months ago. and it is every bit as clear and strong as fresh.

Would you mind sharing your recipe for the RY4? I just got a bottle of it from Mountain Oaks yesterday and the flavor is pretty good even though it about killed me at 18mg. I really had to dial down the volts to smooth the throat hit out to where I could vape it without coughing. I gave it to my wife when I got home this morning and she says she likes it a lot.

well i use the TPA double ry4, not too fond of the Asian spicy versions. like that caramel flavor more.

but its simply 12% flavoring
I use ejuice me up to measure.

Have another for when i want a butter scotch kick that adds a little caramel candy at 2% and the RY4 at 10%

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I mostly use FW and FA concentrates, so this will be my first time trying TPA and I use ejuice me up as well.

Oh, I'm sure the freezing will keep it fresher longer, I've got 7 year old shea butter in the freezer that would have gone bad in 6 months. Thawed, it's nearly as fresh as it was when I bought it (this is relevant because shea butter has active compounds similar to nicotine). I've just not had very long experience with nicotine liquid to know what it does over time. But out of the freezer, I'm fairly certain that like the most volatile amino acids in oils, it will deteriorate and decrease in potency over time. Plant derived extracts all do that without exception. Now that I think of it, I wonder why no one ever did a half life study on them, like radioactive substances, for potency. That would be such useful info!

OK, I am going to spend this glorious Christmas break with my wife's family reading up on all of this. This sounds a lot more enticing than my first attempt at the throat hit from hell coils I built, lol.

Thanks again!

KISS still applies. I've tried building some of the other more exotic micro/macro coils, but I just end up going back to a nice simple horizontal micro. I've tried most of the wicking systems and again I end up back to simple old cotton wick.

i have a such a NIC headach right now, i think that the owner of the vape shop i go to used a 5ml syringe instead of the 3ml one when making my 30ml 12nic juice yesterday when i got done making coils.....or the new coil in the Russian 91 is better lol. Im glad i have another tank with me with different juice to get me through the rest of the day, but im betting this new juice is 24nic because its kicking my .....

Edit: i pretty much stay with easy builds also, mostly 5 wraps of 30g kanthal for micro cotton build

So Joe, you find 5 wraps of 30 kanthal in a microcoil is your favorite build? Also, are the Kayfun parts interchangeable with the Russian 91 size and threading wise?

I have been doing 3 wraps of 32 ga kanthal, which starts out at 1.8 ohms and burned into 2.0 ohms over the last few days. I just ordered 28 ga and 30 ga A-1 Kanthal, and .5 x.1 D grade Kanthal ribbon to try. I'd like to do more coils, since threading 3 coils moves the coils around a lot, and it's more of a hassle to keep adjusting them than a nice multiple loop coil would be. With 3 loops, I can't really do a microcoil. Do you guys find the microcoil setup better?

That DoubleRY4 is a real easy decent flavor to mix!!
One of my regular vapes, too.
I add 2 or 3% Bavarian Cream to it.

Once you make the switch to 28ga, you shouldn't have the problem of your coil moving around when you re-wick. For a 2ohm coil with 28ga (using a 5/64th drill bit) you'll need to do about 12 wraps.

Have you tried flat kanthal vs the round? I started with flat D 28 gauge, so when I tried some round 30 it threw me for a loop. I think it would move less for you too.

I just ordered the flat ribbon... also getting the bigger gauges at the same time. The 32 is fine, and the wrapping is easy, but all the wiggling around is aggravating:).

Will test both the ribbon and the 28 ga when I get them:).

So frustrating... I am now down in Texas visiting family while my IBTanked is sitting at the post office in Tennessee. I wonder if there's a vape brick and mortar vape shop near Houston or Austin that sells them?
Muggz, have you tried ikenvapes fusions? I picked up a few 801s with an adapter after grim green recommended them.
