You squonk (push on the bottle) when the wick is dry and juice is gone from the atomizer. You don't need juice in the catch cup. You will learn how much juice needs to be there to wet the wick.
O.K. I saw that you are using atomizers. So the best method for you is to blind squonk. Don't press the fire button, draw on the atomizer while squonking. A gentle push. You will hear a little gurgle. Stop squonking! You are now ready to push the button and vape!
The fire button is just pressed when you are ready to vape. Each vape requires you to press and hold the button till you are done drawing in the vapor.

Depending on the atty and how you hit it , that is variable. I'd expect to need to squonk between 3 and 5 hits. You will start to notice a drop off in flavor. draw on the atty without firing or squonking if you get a slight gurgle you don't need squonk. If no gurgle but a drop in flavor do a blind squonk.
Learning something new it always great to ask questions. Yes, and I'd guess between 3 and 5 hits you'll need to press on the bottle, we call it squonking.
Ekat did you by chance ever drip with your previous gear? This is the same except your dripping from the bottom. Squonking is like hitting the atty with 3 to 5 drops.

I agree. Also I found with the Reomizer2 I don't need to change flavors nearly so much because it tastes so good. It is really that good.
