totally unsecured, unwrapped, untaped........and just jangling around inside an envelope.

Yes, that is lithium batteries. From a vendor. Who should know better.

No wonder USPS doesn't want this stuff in their mail. I really do not blame them at all.

and no, I am not going to say who, that is not important, what is important is that I called them and explained how unacceptable that is.

I think I would name them in such a situation.

I think short-term bad publicity forcing companies to start behaving sensibly, *before* something goes horribly wrong, is better than the alternative...

I guess it depends whether they seemed genuinely concerned when you spoke to them.

Agreed, if they understood what you were saying and agreed that it shouldnt have happened and they will insure it doesnt happen again then no name to list. However, if they told you to piss off by all means post em up!

Wow. If it's a known vendor selling e-cig stuff that's pretty bad. Hell, I get Li-On and NiMh from a place in China (not FT) all the time, for stuff other than vaping, and they always mail all batteries in either a reusable hard plastic case or cello shrink wrapped so tightly you have to do battle to release them. I mean, if that China place - that isn't a battery specialist - can get it right there's no excuse for what you found in your package.

I do hope they took your call seriously.

Let's not name them please.

We usually have to shut these kinds of threads down because the OP is badgered into naming the company and then the thread turns into a bash fest. Not gonna happen.

Agreed!
I remember my first battery order was from FastTech, and I was surprised when they arrived IN a battery box.
I didn't know they came with...
(this was back before the shipping snafu - they got to California in 7 days flat)
