So I was using my silver Spinner with my green T3S tank, and everything was going fine. The tank was about 1/4 full with 70/30 Banana. I have a typical lanyard collar around the button.

I guess the tank was on too tight. I took a vape like usual, but when I let go of the button, it stayed lit up. I'm assuming the button got stuck on the lanyard collar. Before I could unscrew the tank and move the collar, the button flashed 5 times and went out. Good, I thought, the thermal protection kicked in and saved me. Nothing got hot or even overly warm.

Took a vape - very harsh and burnt. Tried a second vape, same thing. I figured I toasted the coil, so I changed it out. Tried to vape it again, and it was so harsh and burnt, I had to let the button go after 2 seconds.

Took the tank and put it on my black Spinner, and it was fine. Smooth and very flavorful, no burnt taste. I vaped it 4 times, still fine.

Thinking the problem was solved, I put the green tank back on the silver Spinner, and it tasted burnt again. Okay, I think, I probably fried my Spinner, so I took the tank back off, put it back on the black Spinner, and now it tastes burnt on this one, too. I dumped the fluid, put in a third coil in, refilled it, and everything is fine again.

Just to confirm I killed my silver Spinner, I put my gray T3S tank half full of 50/50 watermelon on it, and expected it to taste burnt and end up needing a new coil as well. Nope, it tasted fine. Even after 10 vapes, it's working and tasting normal. WTH?

I had been using it all day, so I decided to throw it on the charger. Normally when I plug it in, all the lights freak out for about a second, then it settles into the normal red light with occasional green flash. This time, the light kept freaking out. After 10 seconds of it doing that, I was about to unplug it from the wall when it finally settled in like normal.

After an hour, I took it off the charger and decided to try it one more time with the green tank. Everything tastes fine, but every second or third vape, i'll push the button, and it lights up, but doesn't fire. I let go of the button, hit it again, and it works fine. At this point, I'm certain I fried something somewhere...

RIP little silver Spinner - you've been a good friend the last four months. Off to the B&M for a replacement...

So sorry to hear about your problem. Maybe someone who knows more than I will chime in and tell you what happened. I think that most of us have had something bad happen to a piece of vaping hardware. Actually, that would make a good thread...What not to do to your hardware. I had two ego twists go within a week of each other after just one month so I know how you feel. Hope you have better luck from now on.

Sounds like the variable voltage circuit is going wacky. It's possible that the voltage went to max when you were getting the burning taste and then went back to normal and sometimes it goes to 0. Try twisting the adjuster back and forth a couple times and see if it starts working correctly. Also try turning it off then back on.

I had my button stick on once but didn't have that effect

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have upgraded, and I use my pro tank 2s on my new Vamo v3 a lot, but I still like the simplicity and smaller size of the Spinners.

So I'm starting to think my issues are with the Kanger T3S tanks I purchased earlier this week. Since the incident above, I've been using the other T3S tank on my good Spinner, and now this one is also tasting burnt. I have to dial the voltage all the way down to 3.2v to not get a burnt taste, but at that level, there is very little vapor or flavor, and the mouthpiece has a multitude of tiny vapor droplets coating the inside. I popped my PT2 back on the Spinner, dialed it back up to 4.3 volts, and it vapes perfect again. I considered the possibility that I just got unlucky with a batch of bad coils, so I took that good coil out of the PT2, put it in the T3S, and after 4 vapes at 4.3v, it tastes burnt again. So I ruled out bad Spinners (except the silver one, which is now acting wonky because of the tank, so it's getting replaced), and I ruled out bad coils. That only leaves the tanks themselves. It seems I can't even get through a full tank before the coil goes bad.

When I go to the B&M tomorrow to replace the Spinner, I think i'll get a third PT2, or maybe look at what they have in stock for carto tanks, and give one of those a try. I don't think Kanger makes bad products, as my EVODs and PTs work great, but no more T3S tanks for me :(

So here's a nice neat ending to my story...

I went back to my local B&M where I purchased these, and explained what my experience with these tanks was. Without even having the bad parts with me, he handed me two new T3S tanks and 5 replacement coils for my troubles. Now THIS is customer service!

Of course, I ran home to get the bad parts and went back. Turns out the gray tank is okay, so I gave one of the replacements back to him (I just want working equipment. I'm not looking to get something for nothing). Not sure why it was tasting burnt, but it's working fine today. The green tank and silver Spinner are both bad. Not sure if the Spinner damaged the tank, or if the tank damaged the Spinner.

I "donated" the bad Spinner to the shop. They're going to send it back to Vision to see what happened to it. They told me they stopped selling Vision Spinners because of QC issues(out of 2000, they had 150 fail).

So I left with my replacement T3S and coils, plus I purchased a Smoketek Spinner, iClear 30S and spare coils, and an extra 18650 battery for my Vamo. Not a bad day so far...

By the way, if anyone's interested, this was handled by Dave, the owner of Dixie's Vapor Shop in Kennesaw, GA. Dixie's is the best vape shop I've been in :)
