Don't fret the "letting juice sit" stuff just yet. You have to get close to the target before you can sight the rifle.

Nic absorbs differently in every person and you have to find your level. It does not have as much to do with your smoking as we'd hope.

Different flavors in small bottles so you are not stuck with a big bottle of "tastes like the liner of a diaper pail" juice. What may be great to me may taste like car tire to you and visa versa. I had a devil of a time finding a flavor that would allow me to never consider picking up another cig until I went completely away from the flavor path I was following. Once I found that flavor, never picking up another cig was as easy as walking. My son, sister, cousin, and a number of friends all had the same experience. They tried a flavor that they were sure they would hate, and loved it, and didn't want to smoke anymore. (That is why I suggest trying different flavors.)

VG blend, I will assume is a fixed percentage of VG in the mix. A custom blend would be where you choose the PG/VG ratio.

Generally: VG=more vapor & less throat hit and PG=more TH & stronger flavor (Not exactly true, but close enough for someone starting out.) So folks adjust the PG/VG ratio to dial in that perfect vape. I'd suggest going simple at the start and dial in as you gain experience.

Well this is what I have roundd up for my list... for the final purchase? Any other extras or spares? Only extra I probably need to worry about is extra carts/flavors/atty's. I heard the 650's will last 6 hours under heavy use. I am sure the 2 it comes with will be fine. Especially with the car charger and PT I have added. Could I hook the PT up to the AC/USB charger that comes with the starter kit? I heard the PT sucks with USB ports in a computer tower.

Where are you buying all of this from? $67.99 for an eGo kit is pretty high, compared to several other suppliers where you can get it for less.

Puresmoker.com has eGo kits for $44.99 plus shipping of $5, if you use the coupon code of EGO10. Choice of four colors. Total cost = $49.99.
Joye eGo

Myfreedomsmokes.com has eGo kits for $47.97 plus shipping of $5.95, if you use the coupon codes of either FREEDOM or SMOKE. Choice of two colors. Total cost = $53.92.
Joye eGo Starter Kit (Titanium) - MFS Inc.

Liberty-Flights.com has eGo kits for $51.96 plus $2.99 shipping if you use the coupon code of ECF. Choice of 8 colors. Ships from CA. Total cost = $54.95.
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo

Litecigusa.net has eGo kits for $54.95 plus $2 shipping for orders under $75. No discount but they have a rewards program for future savings. Choice of 3 colors. Ships from PA. Total cost = $56.95. (They have low prices on many other parts....my favorite supplier.)

Well, I wouldn't buy the syringe, the five cartridges, and the carrying case, but that's up to you. You don't need a syringe to fill cartridges, and you don't need cartridges, because you can drip directly into the atomizer. You might want a drip tip, which fits on the end of the atomizer and is used to drip into and as a mouthpiece. The bottles that the liquid come in have dripper caps, so you just drip into the atomizer from the dripper bottle.

Regarding the car adapter - You would only need this if you're in your car a lot -- to use to charge the eGo battery or to use with a passthrough, if you decide to buy a passthrough.

Knowing what I know now, I would buy:

an eGo kit (includes 2 atomizers, so you don't need any more atomizers, if you plan on not dripping much)

cartomizers (because I don't drip or use atomizers and prefer to use the one-piece cartomizer that has a built-in atomizer and filler...just drip into the cartomizer to fill it, can be refilled about 20 times, and I get the same amount of flavor, vapor, and throat hit using cartomizers as I do with atomizers, without all the extra fuss and dripping 3 drops into the atomizer every 9 drags)

drip tip (I use them as a mouthpiece hooked onto the end of the cartomizer)

to be continued....

Good point. Other then that... does that look like everything I would need forever? Other then replacing atomizers, scents, and cartridges? Those are the only 3 things that need maintained/refilled right

To answer your specific questions:

Forever is a long time, and none of these parts will last forever. I've read that batteries will last for 6 months or more (or less). Nobody really knows how long the average life of an eGo battery is.

If you only drip and don't use cartomizers, you'll have to replace atomizers periodically. I've read that some last for a week, two weeks, or several months. Just depends on the quality and how you use it.

Scents? I think you mean e-liquid or juice. Yes, you'll have to buy juice periodically, and it's always good to buy enough to last until you receive your next order. I go through 6mL per day, but I vape constantly, and most people go through 2 to 4mL per day.

Cartridges - Most people don't use cartridges, since they're a pain in the you know what. Most people who use atomizers just drip into the atomizer and don't use the cartridge, but use a drip tip instead for the mouthpiece. You can drip into the drip tip, or you can remove it, drip into the atomizer, and replace the drip tip.

If you don't use cartridges, you won't need any of the filler material.

Here's what I'm currently using, after doing this for 10 weeks:

6 eGo 900mAh batteries (I don't need this many, but I wanted extra batteries, so I wouldn't have to buy more in the near future)(from litecigusa.net and goodprophets.com)
2 eGo 1000mAh batteries (I didn't buy an eGo kit, because I wanted batteries that would last longer)(from cignot.com)
1 Bauway 1300mAh battery (wish I had not bought this 1300 kit)
4 atomizers (but I rarely use them)(two came in the 1300 Bauway kit and I bought two of the premium atomizers from litecigusa.net for 7.95 each, I believe)
15 cartomizers (use these all the time to hold the liquid) - KR808D-1 premium cartomizers from litecigusa.net
9 drip tips (at 99 cents each from goodprophets.com)
9 adapters from goodprophets.com (at 99 cents each) for 510-battery to 808/901-atomizer
1200mL of liquid from freedomsmokeusa.com (RY4, caramel, apple, nut mix)

You obviously don't need this much stuff at the moment. Just an eGo 650mAh kit and some liquid. Then you can figure out what you want after that. This would be my advice.

If I were you and was just starting out vaping right now, I'd buy one of the kits from myfreedomsmokes.com or liberty-flights.com or litecigusa.net and some liquid from the same site you choose. Then after you get your order, try out vaping for a few days or a few hours and then decide if you want to use atomizers and drip all the time, or if you want to use cartomizers. You could always buy a box of 5 cartomizers now, so you can try them.

I've bought a lot of stuff from litecigusa.net and they're my favorite supplier. They have great service, have lots of parts in stock, have a low $2 shipping fee (free if orders are over $75), ships from my neighbor state of Illinois. I like their KR808D-1 and Boge 510 soft cap cartomizers. I started out with the Boge 510 cartomizers, and a lot of people here use them.

For a friend, I bought the following from litecigusa.net. The order came to $101, and she's been happy ever since.

Two eGo 900mAh batteries
Two 510 premium atomizers
Two boxes of Boge 510 cartomizers
AC to USB wall adapter
eGo Fast USB charger
Stainless steel drip tip (don't get this...there are cheaper ones that aren't so big, hers was $7.95, and you can get one for a fraction of that cost)

Without the stainless steel drip tip, the order for all of the above would be about $95 or so.

They have lots of juice there that you could try. Normally, people end up buying juice at a different supplier than where they buy their parts.

About the car adapter, I've bought two in the past two months (during my first couple of weeks) and I don't use them anymore, since I quit using passthroughs and bought extra individual batteries. For about $20, you can get an extra battery with no hassle messing around with car adapters or USB cables, etc. I like having extra batteries so much better than dealing with all those cables (that are now in the drawer, until I get around to selling them on this site).

I think that's all. I hope you'll be patient and buy only what you need. Just trying to save you money on stuff you won't use and to get the right stuff now, instead of having to order more in the near future.

EDIT: Refresh this page and see my edit of the message above this one. I think I'm done now. Good luck! :)

If you go with liberty flights you can add a pass through battery
Electronic Cigarette - Pass-throughs - Joye eGo
for 20 dollars (and change)
These are actually very nice as you can charge and vape at the same time and then just take it with you when you leave.
Black eGo 650mAh Pass-Through Battery 20.99
Black Joye 510 - Single 7.19
Black eGo 510 - Standard (kit) 51.96
Boge 510 Cartomizer 2.0 Ohm (Black) - 5 Pack 7.99
510/901 Metal Drip Tips - Type A - 1.83

and then 20 bucks worth of juice

grand total of 109.96
102.77 if you don't want the third atomizer as the kit has two

edit: a passthrough battery is not the same thing as a passthough it just charges in the front of the battery via usb as opposed to having to take you attomizer off and plugging it into the power source..it is still a battery with all the portability that entails.

Two of the atomizers came with the 1300mAh kit I bought. I thought it was a genuine eGo, but it turned out to be a Bauway. I don't like the extra long length of the 1300, but I use that battery when I feel like dripping (which is about an hour or two a week or less).

I bought two atomizers from litecigusa.net about three weeks ago, because for a moment, I thought I might prefer to drip -- and I just wanted to try it out to see if I liked it. I thought I needed some good atomizers, like better ones than I got with the 1300 Bauway kit. I rarely use them. Actually, I've only used one of them so far.

Yes, I think that's all you need, except you don't even need to get an extra battery right now. An eGo 650 kit will be good for now, plus some cartomizers and some juice. The kit will contain 2 atomizers, so you can try both dripping and using cartomizers.

eGo batteries take a little less than 3 hours to charge, so you could always have a charged battery as your extra battery. Therefore, no need to plug in a battery to a USB cable. Especially in my case, with all these batteries, I definitely don't need any USB cables. Been there, done that, and I see no reason to mess around with them. A third battery (900mAh is great and is 3/8" longer than the 650mAh battery) and your second battery could always be fully charged by just using the eGo fast charger that comes with the kit.

650 eGo = 2 3/4" long
750 Riva = 3" long
900 eGo = 3 3/8" long
1000 eGo = 3 3/4" long
1300 Bauway = 4 3/4" long

The higher the mAh, the longer the life of the battery before needing to be recharged. My 900 batteries last 9 hours with constant vaping before needing to be recharged. My 1000 batteries last 12 hours.
