Boss told me tonight I am going to be transferred to Dublin, Ireland in six weeks. Since at this point I don't know what it is going to cost me to live there and need to save money, I have to pass yet again on a quality wood mod.

I retire in exactly 12 months! Hubby wants me to be frugal but I know I only have 12 months to make sure I have any REOs I might want! I know I should be saving but part of me says spend now and plan for my fixed income days later! Making grown up decisions is sooooo hard!
Enjoy your retirement, take time to smell the roses! For me retirement and getting out of teaching can't come too soon!

Espanol! 20 years ago I got certified in sociology and history and there were no openings for non coaches! I didn't even really speak much Spanish but they were desperate for a Spanish teacher! I never got the chance to teach social studies but my Spanish has gotten mucho much better!!!!!

I started teaching late, too, chilicat.......became a teacher when I was 40. I just retired last year (after 23 years) and let me just say -- there IS life after school -- and it's GREAT! I've never looked back. Retirement is just pretty awesome in every respect.

Ha. Definitely a woman's prerogative, Joules. You should know that. Besides I said "I lie and say I'm 18..." Unsure is the one who put a real age to it.....he referred to me as 25.....and (as a courtesy, you understand) I just let it stand uncorrected. LOL

But, now that you mention it, I would have DEFINITELY made a terrible math teacher! I'm actually a retired (Yay!) English teacher. My teaching math would have been a complete impossibility. Ha.

Edit: BTW, unsure KNOWS how old I really am. He's as old as I am.....give or take.

Good thing I'm terrible at math! Now I can pretend I'm closer to 50 instead of 60! And thanks for reassuring me JC! The thought of making it on my small retirement check has me really scared! But I do plan to enjoy life! I will still be looking for a part time job to make ends meet but I WILL find a job where I can take my REO with me and vape all day! School days are rough without vaping! Two more weeks till summer break and my REO will not leave my side!

And I wish I could go to Dublin!
