I've been looking at the Ali'i, the UMP, and the Reo Grand so far. Went to the Reo site but it said that everything was out of stock. I understand that the Ali'i can only be ordered on Friday at 5 PST for a few minutes. What about the REO?

I'm still trying to decide if a 3ml bottle and 3.7v would be enough for me. I currently have an eGo at 3.7v and it seems the vapor production is fine. Getting tired of the topping off thing as others have stated. Also trying to decide if the mod will be wood or metal. hmmmm

I do know that I don't want something very big. Looked at the wooden Reo on Youtube and don't want anything that big. Also saw the units at PrecisionT but it appears they are not bottle fed, which I know I want.

I also don't want to get a few months down the road and wish I'd gotten this or that feature. At least one of the mods could be used either top or bottom feed. I like the bottom feed idea, if only because I don't like the idea of the tube outside the device.

Can I get some recommendations as to the better/best mods available that I haven't mention above? If you have bought and used several of the current mods, especially the ones I mentioned, I'd like to hear your thoughts about how they stacked up to one another adn which one you ended up using the most.

thanks all,
chris

The REO MINI
If the larger wooden box mods of which many are quite nice but are not for you, check out the Reo Mini. THE GIANT REO thread here > http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/95123-reo-grand-opening-sale.html Tons of info but allot of chit chat.
REO Mini videos here > REO's Mods | Home of the REO PV
More REO tech without the chit chat here > http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-supplier-forum/134438-www-reosmods-com.html
and REO group here > http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/groups/reonaut-social-group.html

Good luck.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Can't speak as to the Phidias, never tried it. Yea for the 18650 battery and small size, would just rather have a larger bottle. (Big babies need big bottles!) Looks like a solid little mod with nice craftsmanship for the money.

Have been involved with Reos from the beginning in his wooden phase. Came to the party late on the mini, but getting towards the front of the bus again on the Grand. I freakin' love the Mini, despite the small bottle and batty size. That said the 14500's are giving me good service on the mod, and the spares and bottles are easy to tote around. It handles LR510 and 901 attys equally well, and I like lr510 cartos on it as well.

The grand is a slightly bigger version with a 18650 battery and a 6oz rather than a 3oz bottle. Bigger, but manageable. Promises to have an all day sucker quality to it with no need to tote spare or other supplies.

The Ali, is that the Journeyman? The journeyman is like the phidias, with a big batty and small bottle. Nice, but I thought the small bottle was a bit of a PITA to change out and or replace in the mod.

GGTS is the swiss army knife of vapes, especially if you forego the AVS and keep it in 2nd gen mode (no juice feeding). Any atty and every batty. All mechanical, but very complex. When the sellers warn you repeatedly "for advanced vapers only", you'd better listen.

I'd have to recommend one of Reo's metal mods. If you want a small vape and don't mind carting around a kit bag, the mini. If you don't mind a larger vape (or want to do HV), then the Grand. I've turned on a brand new vaper or two to the mini, and they took to it without issue or regrets.
