So I'm sure this is just a classic case of the USPS woes...

But ugh! Sorry, I'm going to vent here, because I know you guys will understand.

Every other order I have placed with V4L has taken, at the most, 3 days. Usually 2. I do live one state away afterall.

Well this order, the one I'm dying for because I've been out of BF for 3 days now :( is taking forever.

I ordered in the morning on the 29th, it is now 6 days later. And here is what D/C status says..

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on April 29, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

It hasn't even been scanned in Omaha yet. Every package I receive through USPS, no matter who it's from, goes through Omaha. Which tacks on a day to shipping time, since I'm out here in the boonies.

ETA: What makes it even worse, is I had a package of Henna shipped from Canada on 4/30/10 and it arrived today. From CANADA! LOL

Anyway, sorry for bellyaching, but I really really need me some Bananas Foster. It's become my favorite all day vape, and none of my other flavors are hitting the spot right now.

Thanks for listening, and I wish godspeed to any packages you all have incoming.

You may want to check with the supplier to make sure it was taken to the post office. Doing shipping on the internet always shows when the label was purchased. My mail is always scanned in at the post office shortly after it was delivered then sent to the mail processing for my area and scanned again.

Martha, you are right. That shows the label has been purchased, not that it has been mailed.

We actually see a lot of this... the Electronic Shipping Info received, and no further updates until it is delivered. A lot of times, we are right up against the deadline to get our stuff on the USPS trucks, and sometimes, if it is not scanned at the Post Office before it leaves on the truck, it does not get scanned until it arrives or is delivered.

I've had this happen , one time usps routed my order through new York from Chicago to Kansas city and it took like a week but at least that time it updated me it's whole journey to the east coast .... Another time it just went into a black hole and showed up a week and some change later ... It happens iv learned it's not v4l 's fault , usps sometimes just sends it to wrong place.

Same story here. I've had a couple of packages hit their first or even second stop before they report that the package was received by the initiating post office. Then there are the ones that don't even show as shipped until they are delivered.

Something else I've noticed, though it may just be an anomaly, is if the package comes from the west coast it will get here a lot faster than if it started in the eastern part of the country, which includes stuff from V4L. I placed two orders out of Cali and one from V4L at the same time, they were shipped at the same time, but I got the other two on Monday and the V4L arrived today. The USPS is weird. hehe

its weird. i never get updates when i order with my debit card and it arrives within 2 days but when i use a real credit card, i get updates and they ship it to sorting facility's and it takes about 6 days.

yeah they pushed mine to PA im in texas, extra day to get here dangit
usually chicago to dallas.
oh well

I'm wondering if some of the current re-routing has something to do with all the flooding and tornado damage in TN and eastern AR? To go quickest route from Chicago to Dallas you would have to through Memphis.

I use both kind of cards, and mine are always 2-3 days. Made an order on Monday and got it today, and that was using my debit card, but two weeks ago I used my Discover and was the same thing...ordered Monday and got on Wed.

I live closer between Orlando, Fl And Jacksonville,Fl. and everytime I ordered from a supplier in Orlando it went from Orlando to Jacksonville and back. The truck passes right by my town on the interstate on the way to Jacksonville. It probably stops off to pick up mail from my post office on the way.My orders fromV4L usually take the same amount of time to get here as theirs did.

I usually get mine 2-4 days with good tracking. this time I'm on the 3rd day and no tracking has been updated since tuesday. it could be down in the mail room for all i know, but usps has been pretty bad the last 2 weeks with tracking. from here, from amazon, normal packages, they're just getting less consistent

Edit: It was down there, I just ran to check, been down there since 8am but USPS didn't feel the need to update it, just shows how excellent their tracking system is lately (and the mailroom refused to give out my department's mail till after their lunch, gotta wait till after 1 on top of that)

USPS does not have "tracking" it is only a delivery confirmation system. They don't have to update it at all until it is actually delivered. It is not like UPS or FedEx.
