So.. is the 18490 enough or does everyone get the extension?

Yeah, I never get more than a few hours out of a mod… and I have used several… I vape like a beast… but 3 hours out of an 18490 would be great - I am fine with three hours - I am more worried about less than 2...

You should definately get more than two. I fill my Kayfun up twice a day...

Variety is the spice of life around here. Since I seldom sleep I vape round the clock most days/nights. So all 5 of my Provari's are in use with different toppers/liquids (2 mini's and 3 stds). I use '350, '490 and '650 batts at whatever voltage depending on what the topper/liquid is, so I do have ext caps for all of mine. They just make it easier to change any one of them to whatever batt size fits the topper/liquid my whim is at the moment. I never put a clock on any of them so can't say how long one or the other batt size lasts for me. I have lots of batts that are kept charged, and a pass-thru, so it just hasn't mattered to me.

I like how you made your avatar bigger. I could barely figure out what you were before. :)

I have never owned any 18490 batteries. My ProVari came with an extension + the original end cap, and I have since added one of the custom end caps and a Twins extension to put it on. It's either 18650's or 18350's in all my mods. I consider the 18490 too big to be small, and yet, not big enough for what I need.

Heavy vapor here.....about 7 to 8 mls a day. I use 3 18490's a day....maybe even 4. I prefer this size, but use all sizes.
There is a newish AW 18490 out at Vapor Kings, black in color, 1500 MAH for 9.95 each

AW Black 18500 3.7v 1500 mAh protected lithium-ion rechargeable battery

Are these these the same as the red AW IMRs sold by Provape . I mean is the only difference a different color wrapper and a higher mah?

I have done 2.5 hours,,,,,,,,,but haven't done less than that  and I can kill a 2600 mah MVP2 in 5 hours.

no,,,,,the red ones are safer chemistry,,,,,,,some people have good luck with the black and red ones,,,,,,,,but if you're not educated about batteries, you should really use the red IMR ones,,,at least those are the ones recommended by Provape.

Since my waistline was growing in real life, it only made sense that my avatar should follow...besides I was spending so much time in photoshop essentials any way, I figured I would play around with my avatar. I changed it five times before going back to the spiny rodent. :p

This is a protected ICR battery, and not a HIGH DRAIN battery which is required for the Provari. These should NOT be used.

Technical - Why high drain batteries
