With the great help of the good folks on this forum, I started out with a Riva with the 900 batteries. I am using boge 2.0 cartomizers with a drip tip. All is ok so far and I have cut analogs in half but I need some expert advice.

I have only obtained juice from 2 different sources at this point and have about 10 different flavors. It seems that each one was a little more tolerable after initially vaping with it and coming back to it later with the same cartomizer. Out of the 10 flavors I recieved only about 3 are enjoyable (read tollerable) to me. The ones that are ok are from liberty flights and are strawberry, capacino and peach in that order.

I somke menthols, the menthol juice (from two different places) is just plain nasty to me. I seems that the fruits are ok, as I stated so was capacino but chocolate certainly didn't taste as expected and coffee was like a mouthful of old coffee grounds.

I know no one can tell what flavor is right for me but maybe a little guidence would be helpful. I have also seen recomendations for the smoke tech 1.7 cartomizers and was thinking of trying them out. Any help is appriciated.

Thanks

Like you said taste is subjective, I recommend getting sampler sets from different vendors until you narrow down a juice you really love. You are somewhat ahead already because you narrowed down some types of flavors you like, such as fruit flavors.

Check this site out, they have great prices for samples, and there are many others out there

I've personally been lurking the forums for a while, and I vaping on and off for a bit, I just picked it up. In regards to flavor, it takes experimenting... a lot, hopefully you'll find that magical thing that works for you. Remember as well, there are variances between vendors. I've gotten juice from one vendor, loved it, ordered from another one, and detested it. It's funny how that works.

In regards to cartos, I only have experience with Smoktech EMDCCs and Smoktech Dual Coils (that were meant for a tank, that broke 2 days after use...), so I slapped an o-ring over the vent hole. I like the smaller DCs, but the vape time to top of is ... low...

I actually don't really like cartos though, this is my first experience with them, and I feel like it's a lot of maintenance (irony being I was a dripper). Burnt carto filler is nasty, and I seemed to have "screwed the pooch" on most of them do to being a noob on a learning curve.

But yeah, Smoktech DCs are nice, and I've heard good things on the "resurrectors", which I presume you are talking about. It takes a bit to find the "perfect" kit for you, but once you know what you like, it's much easier. Just don't get sucked into the "Ooooh new shiny toy" syndrome. It's a wallet buster.

Edit: I wish I could spell.

This is a nice tasting juice.

A hint of chocolate which is fine by me because most chocolate is pretty nasty. It's a nice minty, menthol vape. Plus it's pretty cheap. Put in the comments section the nic strength you want.

I have started ordering either sample packs or just individual small bottles of different flavors from several different vendors. Several will do as little as 3 to 5ml bottles. Some I have found do as much as 10ml sets of five for very little money.
I tried a couple of flavors from reviews I found here but they did not agree with my pallate, so I figured I would try as many as I could afford on my own.

Getting advice on taste is like describing the color blue to someone who has never seen it!!

Good luck

My taste buds are sadly numb to certain flavours, but I've had amazing luck with french vanilla and red bull which kinda tastes like strawberry. Some flavours are too subtle so I have to enjoy exhaling through my nostrils instead of savouring the flavour, but it's still enjoyable. Chocolate and cinnamon get better with time, but are still pretty gross to me. I also got a Canadian Tobacco flavour which is horrendous. I made the horrible mistake of getting 30ml bottles to start, which this forum has warmed me against... but the lesson's been learned. Whatever you do, GET SAMPLERS WHEN EXPERIMENTING and look at the reviews left by others on the site your order from, which tends to be very helpful.

Needless to say, I'm anxiously awaiting two sampler packs I just ordered :)

Just keep on trying flavours, and don't throw out the ones you hate until you taste buds get sharper... I've heard they may end up tasting better with time.

I was a heavy menthol smoker but never could develope a taste for a menthol vape. Always tastes like Hall's cough drops. The only menthol I can vape is cold creek by nitelitevapor.com. It's a well balanced menthol and mint flavor. The mint kills the Hall's taste.

For fruits, I like 2 vendors...topshelfvapes.com and freedomsmokeusa.com. You can get extra flavoring at each vendor.

For desert flavors, I like altcig.com and topshelfvapes.com.

For coffees...virginvapor.com and vermillionriverejuice.com.

I can point out your issue...

You need to experience some USA e-liquid. Many of the vendors in our community make some awesome juice and to be honest, trying it is the only way to really find your all day vape. I buy all my juice from TexasSelectVapor.com and iVape.net. If you're looking for a tobacco or coffee vape, I'd suggest vermillion river. They have a very nice kentucky blend.

Here is a discount code page to help you out a bit. http://guidetovaping.com/category/discount-codes/

Good luck

I'm kinda surprised nobody else has suggested this (or maybe I overlooked it), but I'd suggest getting one or two dripping atomizers and a drip tip or two to fit them. Personally I like to have one LR & one SR 306 (threading is the same as a 510). I like IkenVape brand but he's been out of stock so when finances permit I intend to try a couple of Cisco, been reading good reviews/reports on those. These are great for testing new juices before you put them in a carto. They're easy to clean out, and good ones hold up a long time if properly cared for. I also use them for dripping / vaping when I'm sitting at my computer because I like the flavor better, but they're too troublesome to try & use on the go so I use good cartos for that. The Boges are good, and the Resurrectors. SmokTech XXL duel coils are interesting and I like them for certain juices. The reason I suggested both a LR & a SR atty is, some flavors seem to work better (to me) vaped cooler (at higher res.) so I'd rather put them in a SR carto. Hope this is useful for you. Happy Vaping! :D

Some of the best menthol e-liquid I have even encountered came from Mike at Rawr Vapor: Home page. Not to mention some of the best juices period. But like everyone else has already stated taste is incredibly suggestive. One man's trash juice is another man's treasure juice. I was never a menthol smoker but something about Mike's juices makes me absolutely love it.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I will certainly give most of them a try. I guess this is going to turn into a bit of a process but I guess I'm not in any hurry. Strawberry is my go to juice so far but it's a little sweet to use all day and night. I do have one sample pack on it's way and will have to wait until payday to try some of your suggestions.

Thanks so much for the help. This is all still pretty new to me and would be lost without you guys.
