So two weeks ago I completely quit analogs and havent turned back. I ordered me and my wife a 401 kit from Ruyan and some extra atomizers, 50 pack of prefilled carts and some Marl juice.

Now, first off, I enjoy not smoking analogs any longer, but I do have some issues with the e-cig. First and most importantly would be that I feel like I need some flavor. I have only used the pre-filled carts and dipped the 18 mg Marl juice, but I honestly do not get much flavor from either of these. There is a hint of a sweet flavor, but honestly, I do not taste much flavor. So last night I took up Lux Vapors on their sale and ordered 6 flavors (Coffee, vanilla, Hilton, Mint, Apple and Almond) and I am hoping I will get more flavor out of these.

But anyways, I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the lack of flavor from the pre-filled ruyan carts or the Marl juice?

Also, I do notice that just sometimes, my mouth and throat kinda burn. It's maybe once a day when vaping all day. Just at random times. I will stop vaping for a few minutes and then go back and it is fine...

Lastly, has anyone had any problems with the 401 atomizers, from ruyan direct, getting really hot? I am not sure if we are doing something wrong, but my wife as well as myself, have had our atomizers get extremely hot to the touch, almost to the point I feel like I am going to get burnt. When this happens I immediately unscrew the battery. Again, this is a random issue and has happened only a few times in the past 2 weeks and later the atomizer will work fine.

I read the forums religiously and havent seen these topics mentioned, so I thought I would ask.

Thanks,
Brad

There are dozens of flavors out there - get menthol, 555, RY4 and any of the fruit flavors.

I have had my ruyan m401 for nearly two weeks...

As for their marl juice i was pretty much under the same opinion, my solution was to go out and buy an 8oz. bottle of glycerin for $4, some 1 oz. bottles of organic candy flavoring $4 /ea localy (I really like the root beer), and have been cutting my ruyan marl juice with 40% glycerin and a few drops of flavor.
Word of advice i would start with a little bit of flavor and add more to taste, it's really easy to make a blend too strong especialy with menthol.

For the atomizer I'm still on my first and it has been going like a champ, the only time it gets REALLY hot is when multiple people are vaping off of it, so there is alot of drags in a short period of time. This hasn't been an issue for me since i hold my m401 further up then an analogue cig so i don't feel the heat.

Thats been my experience so-far I haven't had an analogue in almost 2 weeks now, hope that helps! Best of luck to you and your wife

M401 atomizers do get hot to the touch and this feature contributes to the "throat hit" that so many people love them for. Watch the LED on the battery, only if it's on more than you are drawing on it is there something to worry about. Loud bass or wind will set them of, although they aren't near as sensitive as others I've tried.

As for the flavors, you are on the right track to try others. One suggestion I would make is to switch flavors often - every couple of days. I vape RY4, flue cured and Hilton regularly, but I find that when I stick to one for more than a few days it gets bland.

My mouth feels a little irritated sometimes too. Unlike smoking, a lot of what you're vaping is being absorbed by the mucus membranes in your mouth, which is bound to create different feelings there.

Thanks for all the info everyone! These answers do help... I guess my biggest issue at the moment is flavor and I do have the new flavors coming, so I am hoping they will do better than the Marl. Its weird because I was an avid regular analog smoker for about 12 years and never wanted any other "flavor" except the one that came with my camel lights (and I absolutely hated menthol cigarettes), but now I find myself feeling like I need some flavor with this thing and even ordered a mint flavor to see how I like it...

And Cyber,
yeah, my batteries are a bit sensitive, but not too bad. I can blow on the end and they light up and one time I got a 'cig' out of my box and the light was staying blue and it felt really cold. Very weird too cause I don't think much air could get into the box. Not sure what was going on, but it has not happened since and I guess it is okay. But yeah, once or twice my atomizer has gotten so hot, I really feel like it is going to burn me or melt the plastic cart. But like I said, I just tend to unscrew the battery and all is fine later...

Good luck to you as well. It seems like we quit about the same time and I would like to hear your progress from time to time. I did want to know where you buy your supplies. I have no idea where to even begin to start to know where to buy these items... Thanks!

IMHO - prefilled carts are a waste. Just top off with your favorite liquid.

As far as the atomizer getting hot - I think the switch could be getting stuck.

I was also wondering, how ling can I keep reusing these same carts? Will I have to buy some more later? And do I need to somehow clean them before adding new juice?

It is hard to say exactly, but a pretty long time.
I remove the cart filling every few days or so.
I wash and dry and then reuse.
They come out white as snow when I wash them.
They are so inexpensive. I occasionally buy new ones
when placing an order..

This begs me to ask this question. Why are you cutting it with glycerin and not PG? Just curios :)

There are afew reasons, but one is that some people get allergic reactions to PG... Along with that, it's all natural, tastes sweeter than PG, and gives a great vapor hit... You can also use it with juice (with PG) to cut with it, and that will add to the vapor load too...

From my understanding, it doesn't require air to be set off, just vibration. It's another reason a lot of people like manual batteries. If you're going to a loud club or bar, or are going to be moving around a lot with the e-cig in your pocket, it can be set off. It's a big reason I went with a 510 first, after reading a lot of stuff here and seeing some review vids.
