I've been reading this forum since I got home from and was informed that my brother is going to loan me money to get started on PVs. :) I'm so excited! So much to learn! Especially after talking to a great professor I've had who has been tobacco free for 7 weeks since getting her PV, her husband as well!

I've pretty much decided to get a Joye 510. The manual battery is appealing to me, and reviews are typically good. The work and planning that goes into vaping seems like it will take some getting used to... But I think it could totally be worth it. I'd love to cut the tar and carcinogens out of my life. :D

This being said, I have some questions.

Are there any particular suppliers you would recommend? I'm looking at litecigUSA, and they seem to have a decently priced starter kit, and the price for the atomizers & batteries is a bit cheaper than I've seen elsewhere. But if anyone know of any really great, affordable, reliable sources I'd love to hear about them.

Additionally, I love coffee. Any suppliers with amazing coffee flavored juice? :)

...
I'm just super excited to compile a list of things I need to get started. Thinking about it, despite having been reading ECF for the last 8 hours or so, is still making me giddy!

And I feel cool because I'm using some of the terminology.

Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. has a great starter kit for only $35 and they ship the next day. You get to pick your led color (or no led), and manual or auto bat, but I recommend the manual.

You can also upgrade to get a USB PT too, which I highly recommend, and you can then also get two juices of your choice with the order.

Welcome and good luck from another newbie! I'm only two days in but I researched quite awhile before getting the 510 from cignot. Only time will tell if I try something else.

Coffee juice is quite a hard one to get 'right' and of course its subjective.
Most of the coffee flavors tend towards the kona/fresh brewed strong black type of base, so be aware of that. Some can be exceedingly harsh.
I recently started getting into 'Kahlua coffee' from Ms T's bakery Essentials - Ms Ts Bakery Essentials - which Im finding rather good :thumb: At first it tasted too strong but the more I've vaped on it the better I like it, perhaps it wa getting used to the strength, idk, but now its something Im considering buying in a larger size.

Excellent! My wife and I are about a month into this and we just got joye510 kits last week. There are many suppliers who sell the kits, they should all be made by Joytech and go for about 35-45 bucks for 2 batteries, 2 atomizers, charger and 5 cartridges. If you have the budget a personal charging case is a good accessory as battery life can be an issue and these can charge them while you are on the go (plus hold extra cartridges and an atomizer).

We started not smoking and vaping (using a different e-cig known as a cartomizer) right after New Years, for about the first two weeks I still had moments where I wanted an "analog" cig but was able to hold off and use the e-cig. Those moments have stopped and I feel so much better than when I smoked, but I think the better throat sensation and vapor of the 510 would have helped more in those moments so I think you are making a good choice.

I haven't used enough different brands of e-juice to recommend one over another, but you have to start somewhere and the great people on this forum can help you pick one to place your first order. I would say get a 30ml at least of a tobacco flavor that emulates the brand you smoked and some smaller 5 or 10ml bottles of some flavors you want to try. I got a coffee flavor from tastyvaping, three drops in a cartridge filled the rest of the way with tobacco flavor is excellent and my morning vape. We started at 18mg nicotine strength and that has worked for us, but each person is different so try low to high and see which satisfies you. The initial buy in can be a little daunting but you will recover that $$$ in no time by not spending $6+ a pack on cigarettes. We are enjoying it immensely, hope you do too.

Those more experienced in vaping please add / correct anything I missed or got wrong here :)

Good luck and keep us posted!
