So my battery broke... NEED HELP!

So I had MFS Ego 1100 maH battery with a Kanger Protank, and my vape fell out of my pocket and broke! Talk about a pain in the ...! My Protank is perfectly, the battery...yeah not so much! Well seeing as how I planned on replacing that battery with something better, I was thinking of going with the Innokin iTaste VV V3.0. My only issue is that the vape shops in my area are selling for at least twice I'm seeing it for online. Now I'm from Chicago, so I'm reaching out to my Chicagoland area vapers, what's a great vape shop that can possibly give me a good deal? I would just order online but I don't feel waiting and paying for express shipping! Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

Bummer about your vape, I'm sorry. Don't live in Chicago so can't help you there. The stuff I've ordered online has gotten to me in about three days through regular mail. I know that's not much help but a little info for the future.

I got my VV V3.0 from 101vape.com for $25.99 and $1.99 shipping. I think it took all of 2-3 days. You should be able to google vape shops in Chicago to see if they carry them. Never mind I did and you are right...they are charging crazy prices for the VV V3.0. $45 is crazy!! I really don't see how Vape shops can stay in business, unless its just from e juice sells. If you are out of juice...you gotta have it and will pay for it. The prices so many charge for hardware makes it really silly to purchase from brick and mortar shops.

Why not just grab a cheap eGo from somewhere near by then place your order for the mod then when it arrives put your eGo aside as a backup. Always have a backup plan

I know!! It's insane how much more they are charging for it! It's insane to pay that much for it, granted I've been researching it extensively and the product looks amazing! But damn $45 is nuts!

You will like the VV V3.0, but it is really skinny like an EGO, just square. The VV and VW features are nice. You just cant put a big tank on them. 1.8-2.0 ml is about it without them being top heavy. I bought two of them when I got mine so I would always have a charged battery. I am looking to upgrade to a VV unit I can put a bigger tank on. I am thinking of buying a Provari mini from their clearance section and a couple of Kanger Megas. A little pricey for sure, but it should last and only have to buy $10 batteries when they start to fail.

I'd suggest considering the MVP. Only difference is size and bat life. The v3 is a nice little device but if you go with that I'd suggest getting 3. I think they are 800 mah batteries. Then again you didn't ask for mod suggestions and I know nothing about Chicago area. Best of luck!

Just to toss this out there. I just got some eLeaf iSticks (3 of them actually; ordered for some friends as well) and they are nice. 2200mah battery, 20w and small in size. I think this will definitely be my new "out and about" mod. Check it out before you order. .... I know I know, just as you had made up your mind something new comes along But definitely get a backup device as well. Having an extra one around way handy.

I agree with a temporary cheap Ego, even a tiny one to get you through until you place an ONLINE order for one that is reasonably priced. 101Vape.com is amazing with FAST, FAST, FAST delivery and return service and their prices are great. I prefer the Innokin SVD simply because the batt is replaceable (even tiny ones to make the unit shorter) and no losing vape time by sticking on a charger OR a MVP2, loads of vape time. I'm actually looking at the eLeaf iSticks, they are kinda cool looking and lots of good reviews. Just get something to hold you over before you invest in a bestie.

You guys are awesome! I'm loving the input! I don't mind the slimness of the VV and I am definitely going to look into purchasing a backup battery I almost feel so silly for not even thinking of purchasing a backup device sooner.

i love the VV 3.0's -- i have THREE of them, to use as each other's backups and i use them with the 5 ml Aerotanks, and they aren't top heavy. I also have two spinners just in case all three of them fail and i need backups for the backups, lol. I think of it like having gas in the car; never letting it get below a quarter tank - i have 8 tanks, and replenish coils and juice BEFORE i start running low so there's always 'gas in the tank'.

but for real, the first and best piece of advice i was given as a new vaper was: "ALWAYS have a backup - and a backup to that too" ... so i will second the idea to get something inexpensive like an eGo at your local B&M and use that for a few days; and order the VV 3.0 for a reasonable price online. Then keep the eGo for your backup.

I have a vv3, a MVP2 and an istick. I love all 3!! The vv3 is just like having a squared ego battery with vv/vw. It is a good little battery. I use either minis or a pt2 with a beauty ring on it and it is fine, not too top heavy. I like using it as a grab and go.

The istick, for me, is the perfect carry along battery. It is also vv/vw, is very tiny and has great battery life. If I am going to be out for the day, and don't know if I am going to be around a usb port, I don't care because I know that this little thing will last me the entire day.

The MVP is primarily an at home, or travel out of town device for me. Mainly because it is heavy & I carry a small purse. The thing is a beast. It has the same vv/vw as the vv3. It also has a slot that can charge other devices and given the fact that I have an iphone 5 with a bum battery, that feature is really helpful.

The one thing I do not like about the V3.0 is when the battery starts to drain down the vape quality starts to diminish. I think that is probably true for most of the more economical mods on the market though. I can usually tell when the battery needs charging long before looking at the button that tells you. I am looking for a mod where the vape is the same from the first drag after charging to the last drag when the battery dies. Supposedly Provaris are like this and probably others as well, but I imagine they are much more expensive setups.

This is exactly what I was about to recommend. Get a cheap EGO battery for now, and just use it for a backup. Then, I recommend getting the ELeaf. I have personally seen it at vape stores near me, and it looks like a very nice unit. I personally think it will replace the Itaste MVP. It's small, has a LED display, simple, and offers more power than the MVP. It's also cheaper than the MVP. It has a 510, but comes with an ego/510 adapter, which actually is better IMO, since if you strip any threads by using it, you can just replace the adapter.

I'm actually going to get the vv 3.0 tomorrow in a package deal a friend who works at a vape shop actually cut me a good deal! So I definitely cannot pass it up! And I believe he's including the aerotank. I have yet to check out the istick or the Eleaf but I will definitely look into it!!!

And since you all are so knowledgable about this particular device, would anyone mind getting into a bit more detail about what the voltage and wattage do? Clearly the voltage is how much power is dishes out but what does the wattage effect?
