Got a Provari on the way with carto tank setup for out and about since they don't leak and give good vapes.

Now I'm onto this rba stuff. Love the idea of playing mad scientist but I don't think the Provari is the right device for it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking something like a Precise, GGTS, or other all mech device would work much better. Any recommendations since the RBAs seem to leak if upside down so not going to be taking this one or of the house size isn't a concern. Is there some new greatest mod to use these with? I'm mainly interested in the Genesis style if that matters.

ZAP, Cobra, AC9, Spheroid, Ody, Steam machine VST dripper or geny, Somnium, Spiral drippier and Killer 705 are all Genys and rbas I have and enjoy them all.
The Spheroid is pocket friendly as well as the Ody. The Killer is a tank atty so it is good for running around also

Depending on your budget, you could get an EA Mod, Gus G22 or Telescopic, a Legacy or a Poldiac. These are generally available from what I have seen though there are gaps or more so you just have to check for them. None of them sell out in 5 minutes or anything. You could also get a G16 or Temon (if they release more) and something like a Line, Mini-Did or Gini Steam Machine for a slim setup.

I currently have a provari and a legacy that I use with a ZAP and two Cobras. Since I don't wrap lower than 1.2ohm (usually 2.0-2.2ohm) I don't have any sort of restraint put on me by the Provari. The legacy always does it's part when I use that too. I have an EA on the way and I am sure that will be splendid with one of the Cobras.

Additionally, I have a SS Line on the way to use on my G16 and Temon (I use an AGA-S on them now sometimes) for more of a friendly sized setup.

You could do lots of things. As was said ZAP, ZAU, Cobra, AC9...all good ways to go. Check out igetcha69 on youtube if you want to see in depth on some of them.

Oh and Dids which are usually available (so are the parts) and MMVapors sells cosmetic blemishes, so you can get one for a bit off. There are some other awesome RBA's like the Foggati and such but they are harder to obtain at retail and the current classies trade/price is ridiculous.

I've had my first rebuildable up and running for about a week now. I have the AGA Tiamat plus with the pyrex tank.

I've found the Provari to be invaluable in testing the ohm of my coil and checking for possible shorts (error codes). My first coil was 1.5 ohm. I suspected that I would prefer a higher ohm coil because I learned from my cartotanks that I prefer a cooler vape. So my second coil wrapped just last evening is 2.0 ohm. Not a marked difference yet, but I'm still evaluating.

I use the AGA on both the Provari and a Silver Bullet. I recommend giving one a look see if you're looking for a mechanical. Also, there's no reason to not use a rebuildable on a Provari. I still haven't figured out the fixation people have of building sub 1.0 ohm coils. :blink:

Everybody's doing it...don't you want to be everybody?

I actually find anything above 9 watts tastes like crap to me and I generally only go 7-8. So wrapping a super low ohm coil doesn't make any sense for me. Aga's are a good way to start, you can also get decent deals on some of the more available premium RBA's if you don't mine buffing a few scratches out (I am going to scratch them anyway so it's perfect for me) or picking up some new o-rings;

I want to get a to end RBA with a incorporated tank to become 99% DIY basically. It's not that I wouldn't use it on the Provari I just want to make sure I get the full experience and that 3.5A limiter might be a pain. Also not sure how hard on the device it would be powering one in particular the electronics.
