Exactly between all these different attys?
the 510,803,901, etc.
Is it build quality/durability/power?
I want to get to the bottom of this.
510 is smallest but seems to hold up well to the heat and I believe (there might be a poll) that it is the atty of choice for 5 and 6V mods. (I'm sure there's exceptions). Imo, it enhances flavors for
tobacco based juices - marlboro, camel, hilton, kent, flu cured, virginia, ry4, plus coffee/cappuccino, coconut, menthol, mints. ....and it can subdue the lighter flavors - fruit, vanilla, etc.
901 - a tad larger than the 510 (don't have one but have cartos that fit) - better for the lighter flavors and likely reduces some
tobacco taste hits.
801 - much larger than both of the above (penstyle) - also good on the ligther flavors but also does good on ry4 and the lighter tobaccos - marlboro, kent... Great on my black currant, berries, vanilla, cinnamon. It really does bring those type of flavors out better than the 510 (although it isn't like they're tasteless on the 510) And conversely, eg. my Habana Reserve flavor (fav.) doesn't taste as well on the 801 as it does on the 510 - same with many of the others listed under 510 (ymmv of course, since taste is subjective).
I have only lost one 510 atty in going on 6 months and have one that while useable doesn't perform as well as the others. The others are pretty consistent and I've gotten them from a variety of sources. Same with the 801's.
There are two main differences in the 801 (and I've heard the same on 901s) - there is the low bridge and the high bridge types. The high bridge penetrates into the cartridge further - and the advantage of the 801 is that the cartridge is about 3x+ larger than the other two - so more
juice capacity - lasts longer, etc. So the highbridge cuts into that space and is used mainly by people who drip rather than use the cart. Low bridge is perfect, imo, for getting the full space afforded by the 801 cart. You have to make sure with the vendor which you want.
