So what's the next best step after the MVP2?

I went from the MVP & VV3 to the istick. Love it. Nearly as much battery life as the mvp, and it's tiny.

Only complaint is that voltage is measured in vavg, not rms. 3v on the istick is around 4v rms, with the difference narrowing as you get closer to 5.5v.

Imo, this makes wattage mode pretty useless. I just leave it in voltage mode & adjust to taste. Or occasionally do the math to work out actual wattage.

Overall, very happy with it despite the above. Other devices I'm curious about now are the mvp3 & rdna40.

IPV3 (150W at 0.15ohms :O ), Sigelei 100W, Cloupor 150W, and the ugly-looking SMY 180W all come to mind. I wouldn't tell you to go from a 50W box mod to a 30W box. Isn't that a downgrade?

I'm personally trying to build a triple parallel 18650 box mod in the style of Vape Jesus. I think it might solve my power hemorrhage coming from the internal resistance of just one battery pushed to 30A+.

Currently just have the mvp which is 11 watts. Looking to keep it under $75 is or so for now

I've got a Vamo 7 that I really like. You can find 'em for around $75 and it can hit 35w. I'm now looking for a secondary device myself just in case. I've finally managed to ditch the smokes for a length of time and I don't want something stupid (loss, breakage, etc) to eff it all up. My Vamo did that for me. It's well worth the price of admission.

I paired it with a Nautilus tank which is even more impressive than the Vamo. Oh yea, I ordered the stuff from myvaporstore (1st order from those guys) on Friday and it arrived on Monday morning.

Bad part about a sigelei or similar is entry cost. Though they are down to $99 if you can find them in stock. Plus batteries and a charger is add $60. That being said you get so much more. Ability to sub ohm or run a nautilus. I really love mine but am still looking at a device that is more portable. Thinking be dna40. I get great vapor on the sigelei with an rda at 35 watts

There's no way I would add batteries and a charger for $60! You can get the same stuff for less than $30 elsewhere. I've been seeing that a lot. Sell device and make it easy to add the extras but charge 100% more for it. Hell with that. Buy the device and pick up batteries and a charger somewhere else.

People make such a big deal about the iStick and the rms/mean setting. I say adjust to taste and enjoy!

As long as you know you'll never want to turn your iStick down anywhere below 4.2v, I agree. But if you like 3.7v, for instance, that's just not going to happen and no amount of adjusting is going to help. People are upset most about inaccurate voltage output, AKA "Eleaf volts." :D

I was wondering, if I got a 50w box mod and turned it all the way to 50W and fired a 1ohm coil, it would be putting out 7v...is this correct? (See pic)

Hmmm.... sounds really nice, but not sure if I can hold out until XMAS time. lol I do like my MVP other then it seems to lose vaping power as the battery depletes. The other minor things I could live with but would sure be nice to get that stuff fixed with more power. At least is seems that Innokin is listening to the consumer on what we would prefer and reacting accordingly!

Now just to try and sit on my wallet for a couple months.... Just wish they announced a retail price so I know its worth the wait for me or not.

Are you using it on volts mode or wattage mode?
In volts mode it will lose power as the battery depletes but in wattage mode the power will stay constant until the battery is dead.
I use mine in wattage mode and it hits the same until it just won't hit anymore. I rarely look at the light and sometimes I hit it and get nothing then look and see a red light but the hit right before was as good as a full charge.

Sorry to get off topic but thought maybe I could help.
I too want to get a more powerful box but am in no hurry because this MVP2 just works great!

I have been trying both and kinda thought to myself that I did seem to get a more consistent vape with it in the watts mode. Also it maybe in my head but it seems on my tanks with a 1.8ohm coil I seem to get more vape at 5v then I would at 11 watts. I came from smoking my "roll my own" smokes that were pretty strong so I feel that is why I need a stronger vape or else I feel I am not getting enough and constantly hitting the 10 second cutoff.

Well just pulled the trigger on a Blue Istick from ebay. Only $35 so I figured if nothing else it would be a good back up or what have you. Plan on saving up a little and getting maybe a DNA 30/40 device or something along those lines in the future. I have always been like this with my hobbies/fascinations so I like collecting some hardware to have options. I typically vape at 4.5+V so not thinking that will bother me about the Istick, I hope.... Have a full size nautilus, PT2 Mini, some 16b's and plan on getting a mini nautilus soon just for this little guy.

Been doing a ton of reading about this mod and besides the overpowered thing and one person claiming to have an insert for the 510 threading I havent seen any other negatives, and for $35, well I paid more then that for my big nautilus at out B&M store here locally.

Oh no not from the same site. But an intellicharger and quality batteries will run you close to 60. I personally want to see the vtc4\5 in my hand prior to purchase, too many fakes. All the reputable online vendors are out of stock. I can get vtc4's locally still but the shop wants 16 each for them.

Yes. On paper, at least. But you have to make sure that you're using a correct battery with adequate amp limit. For instance, AW IMR 18350 (700 mAh, 6 amp continuous discharge rate) is not suitable for that much wattage.

You'll also need a special atty capable of handling 50 watts (fast wicking, good airflow). Don't try this with a stock coil.
