After reading some research about vaping affecting people's lung capacitys I thought I would conduct my own research into it so who has noticed increased lung capacity from quitting smoking to vaping do you have any evidence to back this up ie has a doctor told you or do you just generally feel better and on the other side does anyone feel like it has made no differance or even a negative differance not limited to just lung function ? Will post link to the research as soon as I'm on my pc thanks

I started vaping and haven't had a cigarette in over three years. I no longer wake up coughing and hacking up gunk for the first two hours of my day. I'm no longer getting winded doing the smallest things. I can taste my food again. I tried quitting in every way you can think of and this is the only thing that has worked to get me off the smoke.

I guess It's worked because I don't feel like I have given up anything.

I'm assuming your comment is rand you've experienced positive results since vaping ?

lol... was playing over the heading "So who's feeling better from vaping ?"

But I am feeling 100 times better now than before I switched to vaping a few weeks ago. Been at the shore the last few days and walking the boardwalk is not much of a challenge anymore with breathing!

Lol I figured it was positive and just thought if clarify but it's looking good so far in the positive from has anyone any negatives to add and you kept up with it anyway for example immediately after a vape my lungs feel as though they are a little tight although a deep breath in instantly solves this and I havnt felt as good as I do now for adges no more coughing no more bad breath smell my energy has improved and taste and smell has improved tenfold

No doctors to back this up, but anecdotally: I can yawn again. For the few months before I switched to vapes I had lost my ability to get a good, full yawn in. It's odd, but you don't realize how awesome they are till you can't.

Other than that, I moved into a 3 floor townhome and can bound up basement to second 2 steps at a time with no trouble, before one flight would leave me somewhat winded, 2 flights I'd have to concentrate on controlling my breathing or I'd pant like a dog in summer.

Lol have to agree nothing like a good yawn in the morning :)

After a year and a half vaping, I've noticed that I have more energy, less irritability, and can breathe much, much better. However, allergy season seems a little more intense. Not sure why.

Perhaps lung function has improved meaning more pollutants or irritants can be be absorbed with every breath taken

I was a light/moderate analoger @ 6-12 per day for the past 30 years. In about 6 weeks smoke free:

My BP dropped from 150/100 to 130/80
I am up to 3 miles running @ 11 min miles 5 times a week.
My teeth have turned several shades whiter
My energy level is way up. :2cool:
No more hacking cough or smoke allergy

I don't even have the slightest urge for analog. Very awesome indeed.

Congrats looking like there is actual proof then that ecigs are a far healthier alternative to smoking

I love that when laying down to sleep I don't hear the congestion in my breathing.

I'm a bit more surprised at how bad smoking made me feel and I hardly noticed it creeping up on me. Last night I also realized that I haven't even considered smoking in weeks. Before that it was weeks of very easy to avoid cravings. Now I don't even think of a cig unless I mean to.

After 4 weeks of vaping and no cigs:

My daughter says I don't snore anymore.
My nose is clear - used to be plugged up all the time.
I can smell EVERYTHING, even from a longer distance.
When I breathe, it feels "cleaner" - don't have a better word for that.
I have more energy already.
My taste buds are coming back online - things are beginning to taste better.

To me, all are plusses. I don't have any negative effects from the vaping at all.

When I started vaping 3 years ago I could only hold my breath for about 30 seconds.
About a year after I started vaping I could hold my breath for 90 seconds without too much trouble.

About six months ago I held my breath for 105 seconds.
About three months ago I held my breath for 120 seconds.

The only exercising I have done during this time was between the 105 seconds and the increase to 120 seconds.

after vastly damaging my health and fitness by smoking for a relatively short period of time, i feel infinitely better than when i first eschewed tobacco.
i don't wake myself up by trying to cough out my lungs and i don't get winded by mild physical activity. i wouldn't smoke in the house way too often, but my cats no longer wheeze.
so we're all of us feeling much better.
