Gatorade is just less sweetened bug juice with salt in it. BRAWNDO! IT'S GOT ELECTROLYTES!!!!

My *ade recipie:

1 envelope Kool-Aid (the stuff you get for $0.20 at the grocery store)
1/2 cup sugar (this is half of what the Kool-Aid people tell you to use)
1/2 tsp LITE salt (that's teaspoon, NOT tablespoon!)
2 quarts water

I just drink the orange Kool-Aid flavor because it matches the Gatorade flavor pretty closely and some of the newer flavors taste bad to me with salt in them. Lets not even talk about the ones that make your poo green(!). I use the lite salt because it's got both potassium and sodium in it. If you're on a low sodium regimen you can get salt that's all potassium chloride with none of the sodium chloride but this is the stuff I cook with so I have it anyway.

Now you're drinking *ade for about $0.15 a quart instead of the, what is it now... $1.79 a quart they want at the convenience store? It's cheaper than buying the Gatorade brand powder at the grocery, heck it's only about $0.15 a quart more expensive than water. I used to have a rotation of 10 to 12 Gatorade bottles that I would run through the dishwasher and then fill with this stuff, took it to work every day. Now I work from home so I just use a pitcher.

Happy hydrating!
