Soap stuck in wicks.

Let me start by saying that I now know that soaking in soapy water is not the appropriate way to clean my coil. However, I didn't learn that until after I had cleaned my coils (two) this way. And I don't get paid for a couple days, so I can't replace the coils yet.

Ok, onto my questions. I now have two coils with residual soapy taste. Yuck.

1) Is this safe and just unpleasant tasting?
2) Is there a way to fix this so I can make do until I get paid?

The tank itself says "iClear 16", and the coil is the kind my store said was meant for the tank...?

Ok Im not real experienced with the long wicks.. My tanks use short wicks. However when Im at work and cant re wick my coils I just take them out and run water through them give them a good shake and then blow through them a little to get the water out and put them right back in and use them. You will get some tasteless low vape hits till the juice has worked all the water out. Like I said I havent tried this with long wicks so you may want to see what another member things would be the best for you.

Hiding up a tree
I heard some people use vodka to give their coils/wicks a good clean.

I would guess that rinsing after the vodka/spirit with warm water would be a good idea too.

Those long wicks in the iClears are silica I believe, usually people can dry burn those to get rid of the taste/residue of their previous juice when they change flavours, however I am unsure whether that is a good idea with all that soapy goodness in there.

i use soapy water all the time on my iclear16 assemblies. gently rinse under the tap carefully squeezing the wicks. this tends to draw the water through the coiled part to rinse out the soap. then place them in water and swoosh it around a bit. some prefer a soak in rubbing alcohol as it evaporates quickly and cleanly. dry burn coil assembly before re-use. this seems to work for me.
