So I did a really stupid thing yesterday and managed to knock my Socialites Inspire tank into the bath. Must have been in there for only a second as when I got it out it was still working, and when I dried it off with a towel and took the top off some water got into the clearomizer so I drained it out. Is it dangerous to use?

I've attached an image of my e-cig that I dropped in the bath. It was the tank, clearomizer and mouth piece all attached together when it got wet. I did empty the juice but didn't wash it so will do that first! Thanks for your help

What would happen if the battery also got wet? That took a dunk too but is still working!
A wet battery is potentially a dead battery.

Either way... Please, please can I beg you NOT to buy from Socialites. They are a rip-off brand and should be avoided if you value the money you have in your pocket and want to use e-cigs.
They are NOT the the "leading brand"; they are a bunch of greedy businessmen selling old technology e-cig hardware items for maximum profit.

Sorry, but the UK public need to be told. I guess they are not BLU, which is the only thing they have in their favour. Still doesn't excuse the prices though. :-x

I you want to buy a good tank (if your's doesn't make it) these are quite good (a bit old compared to newer stuff, but better than CE4)

iClear 16 Dual Coil Clearomiser

but will last longer than Socialites disposable and you can change the coils for £1.40 if you buy 5 at a time.

iClear 16 Dual Coil Head - INNOKIN - Accessories

If you are feeling brave (I do it all the time) you can get these from Fasttech

$3.05 Authentic Innokin iClear 16 Top Coil Clearomizer (1.6ml) - translucent / 2.1 Ω at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$5.91 Authentic Innokin Coil Heads for iClear16 Clearomizer (5-Pack) 5-pack - 1.8ohm / dual heating coil at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I won't be getting a socialites one again, I got one due to being a newbie and the fact a socialites stand was in my local mall!

Good for you. A "mall/supermarket" brand of e-cigs took me for over £500 and I never even stopped smoking. Then, I found ECF (this forum) and AAEC UK (a UK forum).

The brand we all really need to stop is BLU. That's all Morrisons and Co-op are selling these days. These people have no idea.

I'm writing to the Co-op tomorrow about Blu. As a member of the Co-op, they'd better reply.

:)

Good luck. If you get really stuck, I have spares of almost everything ever made.

Hi Ninty,
Just to be on safe side... dry out the battery before you use it again (shake/ use a hair drier/ leave it standing such that any water inside can come out). Agree with djsvapour on new battery and tank. Some of these 'established' companies charge too much for too old tech. Vaping should be cheap and affordable if you have to continue the habit.
