Soft drip tip problem solved!

When I first got a soft drip tip (came with a tank) it reeked so bad of nasty burning tire rubber. I washed it with soap and water, soaked it in vinegar, soaked in salt water, soaked in baking soda water and it still stunk so I set it aside and meant to throw it out. Well today, after a few days shy of 2 months (1 of which it sat out dry on the counter) I went to toss it and realized it didn't stink anymore!
I have no idea if it was a combination of soakings or if it just needed to sit out in the air for a month but I'm happy now I have another drip tip to use

I don't care for the soft rubber drip tips; feels like a pencil erasure. I used one very briefly; it's a cute idea, it just wasn't my thing.
