Let me start off by saying that I'm not typically one to buy a lot of clones. I'd say the ratio of all of my 'vape gear' is ~80/20 authentic/clone. There are basically 2 reasons I might buy a clone;
- if I'm 'on the fence' about something and want to get a solid idea about it before spending the money on an authentic
- If I want something I can beat-up on and experiment with
The Soldado fell I to the second category. I literally had low expectations - fully expected not to think too highly of it. I wanted another 'native' quad-coil device that I could play around with.
Well - boy was I surprised! This thing is GREAT!! 1st of all, I found it way easier to build than I thought it would be - and the flavor and vapor production are pretty much on par with my Tobh or Quasar - not quite at the Stillare or Zenith level - but damned close! Basically, my 1st build (quad micro coils - 24ga 7/8 wrap @ 3/32 ID coming in at ~.15 ohms) is just outstanding!
The only quibble I have is the poorly designed AFC ring. It spins quite freely with no way to lock it down or even add any friction to it! AS far as I've seen, this is not just my clone. This is the only thing that has me on pause for buying an authentic right now. If anyone out there has an authentic Soldado - could you confirm if the AFC ring is the same?
Just thought I'd speak up about this rda in case any one else was considering it. I am quite impressed!
