Hey all,
So I was trying to get the battery out of my Hana and very stupidly used a little screwdriver or something, causing the battery to short out and catch on fire. I grabbed it from her quick and blew out the fire to try and save the device and board, which I think I did. The issue I am having now is that the positive terminal of the battery holder is now essentially welded to the shorted battery, leaving the positive battery lead dangling inside my Hana. The battery holder is in there pretty good, so I was thinking of attempting to solder the pos battery lead directly to the positive terminal of a VTC5 18650. I read a bit about this, that I'd have to get some thick grit sand paper or a dremel and roughen up the surface of the positive side of the battery before applying solder so it will stick. I wanted to ask y'all if you think this is a safe, OK idea. And if not, do you have any suggestions for getting the battery cradle out so I can replace the whole thing with a new one? Any help is very much appreciated!
*at least I think that is how I shorted it out, to be honest I don't even remember if I was using a screwdriver or not. AHH! So bummed
