It depends on who you ask. The chance that a significant amount of lead will make it from your solder joint into your mouth is negligible. You probably absorbed more of it through your skin while soldering with it than you will while vaping. But there are always those who run screaming from anything containing any amount of lead. Who knows, maybe they have a point.

Ok then I`ll be the one to go the opposite way here.
I personally stick the positive wire inside the positive post of my battery connection. When you read so many people as I have saying there is E-liquid getting into the battery box.
Well now then again when I sit my mods overnight or when not in use I place them cart end down. Which by the pure fact of gravity at work is going to let any E-liquid run back towards the atomizer. Now tomorrow when I grab it and vape any contaminated lead that might have gotten in that Liquid is getting heated and going for a adsorption trip right into my lungs. Yummy it`s what`s for breakfast.

How fast or even if this will effect me I couldn`t say but since there is a problem with kids putting stuff into there mouth that contains lead. I`ll play it safer and go Lead free on that center post. :)
