not sure if this is the right place for this.

been googling around.... couldnt find anything except a thread on here that mentioned for alot of mods and even clones, you can buy solid silver contacts... To up the connectivity.

I just got a CU mod, and thinking of buying a Russian copper Viper.

On the latter, silver plated contacts...

Anyone have experience with Solid silver, and / or know where I can buy these contacts?

Plus are alot of the contacts similar in threading? (I assume not, but are there like, only a few different kinds, or are there hundreds)

Help appreciated

Happy vaping:vapor:

(mod note: Sorry if this is in the wrong place, puzzled between apv and general, move if u see fit)

Most of the resistance in a mod, outside of the coil, comes from the places were electricity has to flow from one part of the mod to another.

When exposed to air metals oxidize, gold VERY slowly, and these oxides of metal are usually worse conductors than the metal. The best and easiest way to improve conductivity in your mod is to clean it often. Take it apart and clean all the points where it touches, threads, button pieces, 510 pins, and anything else you can find. Gunk on the outside of a mod will not affect it at all so you can leave that patina on the outside of your coper mod alone if you clean the threads.

Noalox is a grease, that keeps oxygen out, with Zinc particles, to cut through surface oxidation, in it. It was developed for aluminum wiring to keep conductivity at joints up but it will help most mods. Use a tiny amount and keep it away from areas you will draw air to inhale over.
