You could, very carefully, try using a thinner flat blade screwdriver to scrape the grunge off the positive contact.

Someone on VU recommends these for cleaning contacts on regulated and mech mods.

I had those in my "list" on Amazon. They are only 4.5 inches long. Not really long enough to get the job done.

My OG GV Aegis Solo's are just under three and half inches tall. Perhaps we're talking different mods???

The Pixess scratch brushes I linked are 5 inches in length. I'm certain there are longer ones available.

That's the height of mine. We are talking the same. I was mistaken that the pens were 4.5 inches.

I put the qtip in a hemostat to lengthen it. I spray the qtip with contact cleaner. This works most of the time, but I do have a couple of mods this didn't help. They still don't turn on.
What kind of contact cleaner? Would spray contact cleaner work like CRC made for car electronics?
