Solution for a particular e-liquid flavor that burns the wick????

I have one e-liquid that I like...problem is, the wick is constantly being burned black. (see MBV Blue Drake). I build at 1.3-1.5 on kayfuns on mechs. NO other flavor has ever done this. I think I'm pretty consistent with wicking.


My idea is to build at 1.6-1.8 and increase the "bulk" of the wick. Any other suggestions are welcome!!!!!
