So I posted in another thread, I was confused why my 12mg 50/50 mix was hitting me so much faster than the 12mg 35/65 VG/PG mix. I think I may have figured it out. I noticed yesterday that the 50/50 juice was spitting with most pulls. So was I absorbing a lot of nicotine from the juice I was getting in my mouth? I adjusted the voltage up a notch or two and it seems to have solved the spitting. It feels like I can vape a lot longer now without feeling buzzed to quick. So was the spitting the cause of my overly quick buzz?

I thought from what others had said that spitting juice tasted nasty? I just thought I was getting these great little bursts of flavor :w00t: I suppose that's why it took so long for me to realize what was happening.

Possible, but I think it more likely it was the higher Pg content of the 50/50 mix.

By "hitting me much faster" did you mean the throat hit of your vapor? Throat hit is primarily determined by the nicotine strength, and secondarily by the Pg level. More Pg in the ratio will cause more throat hit or harshness.

Not all juice tastes nasty on the tongue... though the sweeter flavors do tend to taste better than others to me.
Not sure if the juice in the mouth is contributing to the nic buzz or not... I've never noticed much difference, myself. Of course, I'm using 10mg nic in sub-ohm drippers with rayon wicks... my nic tolerance is still pretty high. About the only time I ever get nic buzzed anymore is when I get new gear and I chain vape too much while I'm testing everything out... I really should mix up a weaker batch for those occasions......

Oh, and Bad may be right on his thought. I do tend to notice that higher PG mixes seem to carry or deliver nic a little better than higher VG mixes... I just don't know why that would be the case. I'm no chemist...

Yea, i would believe possibly the juice in the mouth may help. I had one atty back in the day that would give me a mouthful every now and again. I would have such a nic headach everytime it got me.

Yeah this is what i'm talking about, though not so bad it gave me a headache.

To the others, I'm sorry I guess I wasn't really clear what I meant. The throat hit was fine, I mean the nicotine was hitting me quicker. My wife is still working on quitting, so she still has some smokes. With the first juice I tried, I felt "done" about the same time she finished her cigarette. With the 50/50 juice i bought I already felt like I had to much nicotine buzz before she was even half way done. So I was thinking more along the lines of what Thrasher said, the constant low amounts of spitting were giving me to much nicotine to fast.

But then again, maybe i'm looking into things to much and I was just vaping to quick as I got used to the setting I like.
