Guys,

I am at the end of my rope. I bought a brand new authentic Nautilus Aspire tank and CANNOT get the think to work. At all. No matter what I do, it consistently spits juice into my mouth. I am using new BVC coils at 1.8 or 1.6. I have gone through about 15 of them, from different vendors. I am using an iTaste vv battery at about 11 watts. Everything is screwed in proper.

No matter what I do, I constantly get juice spitting up into my mouth. It doesn’t even really leak that much, just spits juice into my mouth. I now feel like I am getting sick from constantly getting the juice in my mouth. I am using 70/30 VG/PG liquid and have tried a bunch of 50/50.

Can anyone give me advice? Could a battery be causing this? I have tried literally everything. About 5 hits after I put in a new cardo, I get the juice spitting up. I have now gone through 2 brand new Aspire’s so I know it’s not the hardware. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

James

Sounds like too much ejuice in tank or you acidentially got some down the center hole. Take the tank off, hold a tissue to the hole and blow thru the drip tip. That should clean it out. There will be some ejuice that comes thru the hole so just wipe it clean and put back on the battery. Should be good to go. And don't throw any of those heads away, they should still be good unless you burned them. Let us know.
:)

eta. I too use the nautilus tanks and here is what I do. After I fill them, I allow it to sit for at least a few minutes so the wick can absorb the liquid. When I first put them on the battery, I set the battery at the lowest possible setting and take a couple of quick hits. I do this a few times all the while upping the volts, until I get it where it hits its sweet spot. I have burned more than my share of heads by being impatient so this is why I do this.

Aspire Nautilus, if you've bought any advertised as or it is printed on the box as Nautilus Aspire they're copycat/fake.
Authentic as in verified by entering the scratch off security code on the box into the area on aspires site?

What air flow setting are you using?
Too restrictive air flow and or Inhaling too hard will pull more liquid into the head than can be vaporized.
The excess liquid has to go somewhere, up through the air tube/drip tip or out through the air hole in the base.

What power level(s) have you tried?
Using too low power will cause a wet sputtery vape.
Popping & spitting is usually caused by the built up condensation in the air tube draining down into the head.
I usually vape an Aspire nautilus between 12.5 w~ 16w, I do start a new head low to prevent burning until it is wicking well, low like 10w.
11watts may be too low power for the liquids you're using.

Are your eliquids thinned with or contain distilled water?
Condensation/water causes popping & spit back.

All o rings & seals intact & undamaged?

Occasionally you should dry the center tube & drip tip with a twisted piece of napkin or paper towel to remove the condensation that builds up as routine maintenance.

Your battery is too weak for the BVC coils. You are flooded and sucking up a load of over-wicked juice.

Some of the comments already on this thread are 100% correct.

@Topwater Elvis has pointed out some good and accurate assessments.

I started using this tank back when it came out, the coils wicked slower then than now, as they redesigned the coil with even bigger juice holes.

11w wasn't enough then, it certainly isn't enough now.

Hm, I've had no problem with ~11W at my Nautilus tank, although usually I prefer it around 14W. That 3W difference shouldn't be a big deal though.

My first question would be, "Are you sure it's authentic?" I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the knock-offs, and they're rather hard to tell from the actual authentics. Usually the best way to tell is to look at the "code of authenticity" that should be on the box. There's a site you can go to where you can try out your code, and if it tells you that the code doesn't exist or it has been checked before, that means you do not have an authentic device.

Try it at a theoretical 11w on a MVP or iTasteVV and you will find out. :)

(those iTastes never did 11w anyway..)

I sold my MVP version 2 when I started using this tank, for the reasons stated in this thread.
