I am relatively new here and have not had much in the way of flooding problems that I could not easily fix with a carto tank.

I am getting frustrated with flooding on a clearomizer.

It will work for a little while then it floods all of the sudden.

What steps do you take when you get a clearomizer that floods on you a dozen times?

Which clearo are you referring to?

It is a Kanger Pro-tank

I think I know the problem now. I saw where they stopped production to fix a problem. I think I may have got one from before they stopped production.

Not only is it flooding but there is a very slow leak in it. To show that it leaks I have to fill it and just let is set for hours. The leak is small but is there.

I understand this is the issue that caused them to stop production. I am not sure if a leak can also be related to flooding but I think it could be.

Did you check to be sure everything is screwed in tightly (atomizer head) and all the seals around the various parts look ok? I'm assuming you did...

To update this... So today after many tanks of ejuice I decided to try and remove a wick from the atomizer head. There were three, small/straight wicks about 1/4 inch that laid across the coil. Before popping the retaining cylinder I rinsed it with warm water and blew it out to dry. I popped that center cylinder and removed one wick and reassembled. First hit seemed flavorful, but I felt the start of a gurgle at the end of my first draw. Second draw I could feel liquid getting pulled into the air tube so I stopped. Disassembled and put the wick back in...retried and its back to the same excellent vape I've been having for 7 days.

I seem to recall a few people indicating when they disassembled they only had two wicks in there. Maybe that might be the issue some are having. Possibly early heads only had 2 wicks? Just throwing out possibilities.

Hey JJ, if its flooding, send it back to the seller so they can report to manufacturer and replace yours. You shouldn't be scratching your head.

Kanger tanks, ironically, don't have the quality control in manufacturing these days that you see coming out of China. They've got the European engineering down, but quality is inconsistent IMHO. They've got the best-designed stuff -- it should work easy for you, easier than a carto or vivi style tank -- but often it won't! Your Benz has a broken drivers seat! ;)

Flooding has been an issue with every previous Kanger tank model...the evod, t2/t3 etc. This is a widely reported problem, you can check out the videos by PBusardo on youtube, he has done reviews on all the Kanger stuff with follow-up and similar experiences to yours. He has also worked with several different vendors and Kanger themselves to sort out parts/reliability issues with the various tank models that are being shipping out.

Again it's not an issue with the tank design itself, just seems like 1 tank in a group of good tanks will be bad (leaky/flood) due to inconsistent manufacturing and fit of the parts. Depending on what card you were dealt by Kanger, some people love them, some people hate them. My theory is that a good percentage of people repair the parts issues themselves by assuming the atomizer went bad when it floods, swapping out a new one (ie, with slightly different tolerances/fit), and getting a better seal. I don't own one currently so I cant take a good look at it.

The pro tank is more of an issue though, because its their best model, and you shouldn't have to buy 4 and hope you get a good one. You need to send it back and let them fix/learn from the issue :)
