Some advice on my new E-cig, and a question about vaping in public...

So I just recieved my new Ego-C kit with Stardust/V2 refillable tank cartomizer. I'm wondering what the best method for cleaning it is. I've spent the whole day researching, and I'm getting some conflicting info.
Some people say to completely take it apart and rinse each part individually, while others say to fill it with water and shake it. My problem with the water method is, wouldn't water get inside the part in the middle?

I read somewhere else that you can just "blow out" cartomizers, can I do this with the Stardust? This seems like the easiest method, and perhaps I could do this each night before bed to make it last longer? Anyone who's has experience with the Stardust, please help me out! :)

Secondly, I was wondering if anyone had a link to any type of handout that we could give to people when we're vaping in public. You know, something that explains exactly what it is, how it works, and how it doesn't harm anyone. Of course, it would all have to be in simple terms, easy and quick to read and understand. I just know if I start talking, most people won't listen. If I hand them a piece of paper, they might become intrigued!

Any advice is appreciated. :)

no paper hand outs that i have ever seen. i usually just tell them its a ecig that emits a water vapor rather then smoke. thats been my basic answer for the last 2 years.

as far as advice on the stardust, as i used mine for maybe a day or two before i got annoyed by them and the flew into the trash. hopefully someone who actually uses those will see this thread and help you out there.

First part...You will find what works best for YOU.

I rinse and shake 3 or 4 times, shake dry and dry with paper towel.
If I take it apart(only the rebuildable version) I'll dab the wicks dry with paper towel too.
After a few days to a week(depending on performance), I'll also dryburn after doing the above.

It takes a half dozen or so short(power on) primer puffs at low voltage to get the juice wicking well again. I don't inhale it. YMMV.:vapor::vapor:

I'm pretty sure I have the rebuildable version, as I can replace the wick heads and take the clear tank off. I could be confused though, I'm quite new to this!

And dryburning kinda freaks me out. I've read about people burning out their atty or coils, and I'm also worried about burning the wick. Should I be worried about these things, or am I over-thinking all of this?

dry burning on cartos is fine, it will cook off all the excess stuck on juice. once you see the coil start to turn a reddish glow you know your done with dry burning. the issue with dry burning a atty is standard ones you cant really see the coil so you risk over using the coil while its glowing and that is what will cause the popping of the coil.

my rule of thumb is non poly fill cartos are dry burnable, everything else isn't
