Hi, i recently purchased the smok tfv12 tank, i installed the Q4 coil, i primed it correctly, but when i started to vape i felt a burnt taste, i lowered the wattage but it was still awful. At that point i thaught that i screwed up, and i burned the coil, when i dissasembled it, it was not burnt not even a light brown color. I noticed that the e liquid looks browner and it smells burnt. I use 20/80 PG/VG e liquid(It states that it is sub ohm E liquid). What can be the problem?
Some e juice cant handle high wattage?

I am using the wismec predator i didnt go above 90 watts, the juice has 6mg of nicotine, i had a kangertech subox mini and eleaf istick pico with melo 3 mini, i used them around 50-60 watts.
IMO:
Drop your nic level, the burn may be a bit too much nicotine.
Do you have some 3mg/ml or some 0 nic to step on the 6mg/ml and bring it down a bit?

I am afraid that i dont have e liquid with less nicotine. But i tried my friends e liquid which has 12mg/ml of nicotine it was harsh for me but it did get burnt even on 120 watts.
Thanks, but i have seen it, and i already tried it, but as i said the problem is not with the coil. I tried this e liquid with my friends alien kit tfv8 big baby beast tank, and above 60 watt i am getting the same taste with mine. Below 60 watt there is no problem with it at all.
6 mg of nicotine should not be an issue. Turn the wattage down. If below 60 is fine than vape below 60. This high wattage vaping is a little crazy IMO. 90 watts? If I vaped at 90 watts I think my head would explode.
lots of higher VG coffees, dark vanilla juices, chocolates and some tobacco flavors don't do well at higher wattages. lowering your wattage once you get that burnt taste does not often help rid of it, i dump my juice out, rinse rda or tank and coil afterwards and star anew at a lower wattage.
Thanks, the main problem is that with the smok tfv12 that under 90 watts there is no vapor production at all. Its recommended range is between 90 and 140 watts.
What is the specific (mfg./name) e-liquid that is giving you problems? There are a handful of flavor concentrates that use fructose, corn syrup, and other sugar derivatives; and sugars do not do well with high heat.
