Some fluid lingers on the ceramic plate of the RM2, is it because I squonked too hard?

I noticed that occasionally I will have a bit of fluid that won't drain. I cut my wicks short and made sure the drain how isn't blocked. I also cut a huge notch on the bottom of the tube. But occasionally, I will still have a tiny bit of fluid lingering on the ceramic plate. It's not a big deal, as I can just vape it off. But it does submerge the lower 1/4 of the coil which gives off a weak vape before I can vape it off. I have to tilt the REO so the liquid pools on the other side and vape.

I checked the bottle cap tightness and it's tight.

It also cannot be autofeeding because I'm in my house.

Is this normal? I'm suspecting if it's because I squonked too hard. I have a tendency to squonk hard and long because I'm so fearful of dry hits.
