Of all the different wicking materials I've tried, I like cotton the best. A very close second, tho, is the Nextel XC-132. The only reason I don't use it is cause cotton holds more liquid at the coil and I take long vapes at .4Ω. I would recommend trying the xc-132 if you just can't make the cotton work. The other thing I used to do was to roll a little SS mesh sleeve around the cotton, just under the coil area. That might work for someone who burns a lot of cotton.

this is a different scenario; but it shows what I mean.

Ah... pure heaven again! ... SS mesh wrapped with ribbon that quickly gave a wonderful even glow.

I didn't spend much time on this attempt because I simply wasn't too sure how well it would work.
Hits nice and tastes great!

I'm already starting to wear my bottle out and fingers too! So I cut a piece of foam rubber to soften the squish.

Ok since I can't leave well enough alone... and had the day off ...
I like the SS Mesh wick for flavor best so far. It also holds onto enough juice for several back to back huge hits, each one with a touch different taste :)
The fattest ribbon I could get into the post holes and coil wrapped on mesh tube inside the cap while staying over 1ohm, was .8x.1mm.

Hope it works at least until next year!

Ok... I've had a chance to try XC wicks. Fun stuff and I'll probably use the thick XC in a genesis build but not the reomizer. The skinny XC worked better for the RM2. My verdict is that SS mesh while different, it has similar overall ease for setup but cleaned in place better than XC. My last SS mesh stood the test of a good 8 tanks and probably could have gone much longer. My juice choices seemed to clog XC quickly.

I finally got a box of CVS rolled cotton ... and wow, no other cotton I've tried to date even comes close! I finally understand why so many like cotton. This stuff holds a lot of juice and wicks fast. Even temporarily recovers from a slight dry hit and it gives a bit of warning it's getting dry before tasting totally nasty. How can it be so different from the scores of other cottons?

Now I just need to figure out what to do with so many various "other" bags of cotton balls and giant spool of peaches & cream :)
