Some help with my juice.

I'm a new vaper and finding juice a bit hit and miss.

I have some Benson Fences (20-26mg) which is scrummy, just delicious.

I also have some Cappuccino in the same strength (which is 100% VG), and Almond in 12-18mg. It's these 2 I'm having issues with. the flavour is very week, the vendor is trying to help me resolve it, but am I expecting too much from the flavour.

It seems that neither taste remotely like what they should, and the bit of taste the do have is quickly replaced by horrible, sharp nicotine flavour (like using a quit-smoking inhalator's, (uber vile)).

I don't want to be stuck with tobacco flavours only, but I'm just not feeling the flavour from the flavoured varieties.

I have some plain 24mg juice, and a couple of flavours so I can have a go at mixing my own.

Is it the VG?

One more thing, my OH is vaping Benson. I filled her cart this morning, and it's lasted her all day. It's still tasty now, mine is gross after 4-6 puffs.

Surely her cart should need refilling!!

What PV are you using?

In my experience, 100%VG doesn't dull the flavor at all. It does have a slight sweetness of its own, but that isn't really noticeable.

Good to hear the vendor is working with you. Might be worth getting some samplers from other places, so you can have something to compare to. Try FreedomSmokeUSA -- they have a lot to choose from.

I'm using 510.

It's been suggested to try 901 attys. I've just flooded a 510, can't seem to fix it either!

Got some my order today. made some menthol, bit of trial and error that one.

Tiramisu is nice, made 1ml + 2 drops of flavour.

Still not what I was expecting but getting there. Love feeling like a scientist with all my bottle and pipettes >.<

^ I'm looking at ordering samples from FreedomSmokeUSA. It's really nice that they offer 3 ml and 5 ml sample sizes, so you can order a bunch and find out which ones are your faves. If you look up myfreedomsmokeusa on the e-liquid review forum you can get a good idea of what some of the more popular flavours are, but as everyone says YMMV and taste is highly subjective. They do have a lot of good reviews.

I'm really enjoying Crystal Liquid from electronic-cigz.com, especially their Cafe Cappuccino and most recently their Crisp Apple. Mixing their PG Peppermint Passion with their PG Chocolate tastes really good, like an after dinner chocolate mint.

I'm hearing a lot of good things about BackwoodsBrew.net. They seem to be geared more towards e-liquids with tobacco undertones with hints of other flavours such as applewood and peach, but they also have some non-tobacco flavours such as caramel cappuccino, toffee malty and cherry cola. They have been getting rave reviews, but it depends on what you're looking for. Their e-liquids are described as more mature flavours, not the sweet candy flavours many e-liquids taste like. Sounds right up my alley so I'm going to give backwoodsbrew a shot next time I order.

It may take a few different places and a bit of trial and error, but read up on the reviews, order smaller sample sizes and try to get a wide array of flavours to see what works for you. You may be surprised. I never thought I would like an apple flavoured e-liquid, but I am absolutely loving Crisp Apple from electronic-cigz.com at the moment.

Thanks Chem. I'm in the UK, so need to find some UK suppliers. I'm loving the Benson from Paradise Vapes. Made some yummy Tiramisu up, from LF. Going to give Cloud9 a try to, since I need an adaptor and some 901 atties. I'm enjoying experimenting, and figured that it is a case of trial and error, and what you think you might like, you may not, and what you think you may not, you actually will.

^ Is e-liquid not approved in the UK? I know that electronic-cigz.com ships internationally and a lot of US vendors will probably ship to the UK. E-liquid is not approved in Canada, but I haven't had any problems getting e-liquid through customs. I've only ordered from China using the slow China Registered Mail. Getting e-liquid from the USA should be even easier because Canadian customs doesn't check many packages from the US, but I don't know what the situation is in the UK.

Hey, Man. I've had this experience too. VG is naturally sweeter and has a tendency to cloud some flavors...of the VG juices I like, it seems only the menthol, cola & banana (of all things) don't seem to be masked by VG...but cherry & tobacco for instance with VG don't seem to be as distinct in the flavor department as PG based...

i've had PG cherry & VG cherry and the PG was definitely more cherry. Same manufacturer. Same recipe except the base.

also - you're using pretty high MG - i've found that nicotine taste you're getting is quite intense once you cross the 20MG threshold. Go 18 to 16...

26 is really high. even 24 has a serious bite 1st thing in the morning...

I believe Puresmoker has just opened a UK branch...Their Tonic lineup is all I ever vape, with Silver Leaf Tobacco being my all day go to vape. Might be worth checking into. Might have more info on the UK store @ PureSmoker Forum
