So... Long story short.

A bit strapped for cash so don't really want to place an order from Liberty Flights for PG/VG...

Ran out of juice a couple of days ago and refuse to go back to analogs. However i'm really cranky now...

Anyone have any inputs on how to 'make' some sort of juice buying ingrediants from local pharmacist etc?

My local chemist sells "Glycerin" (for sore throats, no other ingrediants), don't know whether it's safe to vape?
And I already have some Nicotine juice left over..

As for flavourings... are general food extracts/flavourings safe to vape???

Hope someone can help!!

Here in the US, if it says USP glycerine, it's fine to use. Not sure about the UK.

I have a couple of cake and candy supply stores locally that sell LorAnns, so check out a similar type shop for concentrated flavorings. Being in the UK those type stores might have even more options than LorAnns, but if they've got LA you can use them, although many people prefer others.

I'm not sure where you could find PG. Here, a common store that carries is called Tractor Supply. They use it for diluting some sort of medications for cattle and such. Maybe you could find a similar store. If not, you can find it online for not too much $$.

Sorry if this wasn't much help, just a couple of ideas of where to look. Good luck!

Food grade vegetable glycerin is ok. What I bought here from the pharmacy was the correct stuff. You'd have to ask to make sure. Since it's for sore throats, I assume it is meant for human consumption. The stuff here is sold as a skin protectant. Some food extracts are useable. Try looking at the flavorings for making candies. As long as it is not oil based, it should be ok. My local craft store sells Loranns brand, which is an alcohol extract. It's fine, just have to be careful not to overflavor, or you end up with an alcohol aftertaste.

Right so...

Thank you both for your help: very useful stuff...

I went round my local town center and managed to get everything I needed (minus nicotine which I had left over) within a 10 meter radius..

The verdict is..

-Glycerine: ingrediants; Glycerine ONLY.
-Vanilla Flavouring: ingrediants; Water, Propylene Glycol, Natural Vanilla Extract (1.3%) and Caramel colouring (E150a)

Then obviously Nicotine liquid mixed with these ingrediants which is 50mg, diluted with PG...

Tried it out - tasted alright - big question is; am I going to die?
All the 'make-shift' ingrediants I aquired are just from a local baking shop- so they're edable, just don't know if they're vapable?!

Another big question I should ask is - if this is all safe to vape.. then have I successfully stocked up on around 2 months worth of juice for under £5?!

Forget the chemicals. Think about the tobacco in cigs. Probably bacteria and fecal matter and all sorts of things. I don't know about you, buy when I was out of cigs I'd dig around everywhere to find one. A stale cig in the bottom of my purse, one that fell behind the couch cushion. I wouldn't worry.

All kidding aside, your ingredients sound fine. I think that's one of the big question marks with juice. We know about the base, the nicotine, not a lot of data on vaping food grade flavorings. The percentage in juice is pretty small though.

You have a very good point there! Inhaling baking products can't be anywhere near as bad as inhailing Carbon Monoxide...

I probably edited my post before you saw it. I think it's a valid concern regarding which flavorings you should or shouldn't vape. Most of the flavorings we are vaping are food grade flavorings though. So they are meant for consumption. There's a big list of flavorings in the DIY section about which ones you should/shouldn't vape.
