so ive discovered that aspire bdc coils CAN be dry-burned and reused. i had an old coil left over and i rinsed it, dry burned it, rinsed it again, and set it to dry. right now vaping it at 9 watts and there is no burning flavor at all, im getting very good strong flavor and decent vapor from it. of course the vapor production isnt as good as when the coil was new, but this is to be expected. im hoping i can run the 4 mls i have in the tank through it without any problems

edit: just increased to 10 watts and opened up the airflow all the way and wow, huge clouds and big flavor. does get hot fast though but it doesnt seem to be affecting the performance so far.

The BVC can be dry burned no problem since all the wicking material is ceramic fiber.
The outside wicking material of the BDC is supposed to be cotton, so you should take the top piece off to dry burn them in theory. Maybe they have been upgraded to all ceramic fiber too at so e point.

i do take off the tank part and just attach the coil to the battery. this is probably just going to be a one time thing though, wont be buying more coils

I did not mean the tank.. I figured you had that one covered (um... uncovered...). Here, check this out (he takes off the part I'm talking about at 0:42 seconds:

If your current method is working fine, then don't pull your hair off going to the extremes like in this vid, but should any problem arise, then you now know which part to rewick and how.
