Hello all,

Recently got my Vamo and love it!! Anyway questions I have are:

What are the different ohms for on the heads? What happens when I put a lower one on compared to a higher ohms one?

How do you know when your coil has had its days? Does it matter if its black?

On the nova I get a gurgle when I pull away from the Vamo, is this normal?

I bought a 70% PG and 30% VG E Liquid but I find it has less vapour than previous 100% PG E Liquids iv tried. Surely it should vape more as it has VG mixed in?

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Tim

Also use the Vivi Nova on my Vamo- make sure they're the Vision brand. Diff ohms are 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms. The reasoning behind selling the different ohms heads is so owner of both lower and higher voltage PVs can use the Vivi Nova..

A long but excellent maintenance video. With washing and dry burning my heads are lasting 10+ weeks.

I don't have any gurgling. Make sure the head is screwed down tightly to avoid leaks.

Could be the voltage or wattage is set too low. Run it in n02 mode. Set it to wattage and begin at 7.5 watts and slowly dial the wattage up until you hit your "sweet spot. If using the wattage setting it really doesn't matter what ohms you're using as the Vamo will set it to the wattage chosen.

Lots of info here:

The ohms are 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8. They are marked on the heads for which one is which. The lower the ohms, the hotter/harsher the vape; or, the lower you can run your VVPV to get the same vape as on higher ohms. In my experience, vivis and other clearos run best at 1/2 voltage or lower though.

When the vapor and/or flavor drops, it is time to clean and dry burn your heads. Here is a really good video to help with that process.

When they will no longer vape well even with cleaning, it is time for a new one, or a rewicking.

Yeah, 70/30 juice should have more vapor that 100% PG. Maybe there was another factor influencing it, like the head needed cleaning, lower voltage, ???

You beat me to it. :p I missed this one in my first response though...

Yeah, I have noticed that sometimes the head will untwist a bit when I remove the top for refilling. Also, if I tighten the top too much it will gurgle a bit.

Funny you post that video, I watched that this morning. Really good advice and very funny at one point ;)

So perhaps the gurgle is from e liquid in the centre where I have been clumsy. I think it was when the head came a little loose whilst filled.

Yes the Nova I have is a Vision one.

So do you advise I try out all three heads? Iv been using the 2.4 already installed. Is the 2.4 the general one everyone uses?

I got a burnt taste of the Nova the other day and it was VILE!! Has not happened again but wow. Something that has happened a bit more than once is heated up E Liquid going on my tongue whilst vaping, it hurt! But I suppose this is all down to my faults.

Is there a quick fix to the gurgle?

Can dry burning ruin the coil? What if you do it for more than a second can it ruin it?

LOVE his videos and some are hilarious.

Great choice.

Sometimes when removing the drip tip to fill the tank the head becomes unscrewed.

With VV yes 2.4 ohms is generally the one to use BUT with VW you can use any of them.

Some have reported they need to occasionally tilt the tank to saturate the wicks. I don't have that issue.

Make sure head is tightened down and try not to drip any juice down the center air way. After filling you could blow out excess juice.

Can dry burning ruin the coil? What if you do it for more than a second can it ruin it?
When I dry burn I use 3.9 volts and do it in 4 sec burst. Allow the coil to cool down for 15 secs between dry burns. Washing cleans the wick and tank. Dry burn turn the juice gunk on the coil to ash- rinse afterwards. For stronger juices I use PGA or alcohol to wash with.

Edit:

In using diff ohms on the Vamo voltage setting we have to change the voltage when changing to a diff ohms head. When on Wattage setting the Vamo automatically figures it out. That's the big advantage to VW as opposed to VV. VW makes it soooo easy.
