Hi all,

I originally started vaping over a year ago but stopped and got back on analogs for a couple of reasons. First and foremost I have found the entire ec community, while diligent and looking for solutions to make our vaping more enjoyable, always had a Wild West mentality. There was a considerable lack of continuity among different vendors and customers alike.

Cut to 2011 and it's amazing how far this has progressed. I started with 501's and the USB passthrough which I liked because I could puff away all day at work. I found I had to carry too many carts with me and constant refilling plus recharging made analogs once again look really attractive. Now that i've revisited this again I found the fluxomizers and other than a few minor flaws I have to say I am very impressed with them.

The best part is the vaping experience; the flavor I was missing with the old style carts is staggering. Yeah, you get great flavor in the first dozen or so draws but after that it fades. Not so with these fluxomizers. I sit at my laptop just dumping clouds of vapor and the tobacco taste (akin to fresh cut tobacco) is wonderful.

I'm using EcoPure 16mg juice and while i've been reluctant to delve into the world of different flavors I've been shopping around. I picked up some Johnson Creek Spice Apple cider and their Tennessee cured juice (tasty juice) but I also just ordered some Pineapple Orange from gotvapes.com. I added 3 packs of the fluxomizers 1.8 ml capacity and they should arrive today.

I've wanted to get away from analogs for quite some time because it's the right thing to do but circumstances in my family have made me make a concerted effort to get off analogs ASAP. My mother was given essentially 6 months to live, she's suffering from stage 4 lung/liver cancer, just had cyberknife treatment plus beating breast cancer twice and it's safe to say she's had enough. We're out of medical options now so we're trying high anti-oxidant diet changes to see if that attenuates the spread.

So now i'm faced with a bit of a dilemma. The fluxomizer carts are wonderful but filling them is proving to be a problem. Of the first 5 I ordered a week or so ago I have damaged the second seal on 2 of them. I followed the instructions on removing them and used as much care as possible but they just fell apart. I can't seem to find the elusive fill hole either. I've resorted to going down the side with the steel pipette and it works ok but i'm concerned about damaging the wall of the tube itself. Granted, at the price they sell these for they are essentially use em and lose em but i'd like to get more life out of the seals or at the very least be able to obtain spare seals if at all possible. Does anyone have a line on seals or some other readily available substitute?

I appreciate any responses and sorry for the long winded first post.

I've been using the same 4 for 2 weeks now and love them just as much as you. Filling for me is easiest with a syringe, and not the plastic one they come with. The fill holes are on either side of the silicone ring around the coil. 90 degrees from the wick openings. They are TINY, but that's to prevent leaks.

I have damaged one of the silicone rings taking it off for cleaning. But the longer you leave them alone, the longer they will last.

Get a small syringe with sharp tip, remove the plunger, insert it in the fluxomizer, fill the syringe from the top, put the plunger back in and slowly fill it.

Ok chefanim, I'll check again. I'm using the longer steel pipette, no the flexible one. I'll probably need to check in the supplier forums for responses to spare parts but i'll see if I can find the fill hole first.

thanks!

I just got a pack of the clear ce2 cartomizers from madvapes (they call them clearomizers) this morning.

I obviously can't speak for longevity but for ease of fill with no mess, I'm in heaven. The clear case lets you see the seal clearly because it lets in light so it's much easier to spot the little holes in the seal. I ordered a syringe and needle with the cartos just because it's faster and cleaner having the right tool rather than trying to make do.

Sounds like it's essentially the same type of cartomizers I ordered. I've managed to slide the pipette down the side between the seal and the tube but I have to be careful as it's pretty much sealed and it tends to push juice up through the seal and into the mouthpiece. Even with this minor annoyance I'm still digging these compared to the old style carts.

Yeah, they're awesome so far. I'd really recommend you pick up a syringe next time you order supplies. Being able to put juice exactly where you want it under control (ie no aiming drops) is great. The fill thingy that comes with them will work but a syringe makes the whole thing painless.

Unless something happens to change my mind (and granted, my opinion is based on just 8 hours or so of using them), I'll be using these suckers exclusively and the $2 for a syringe will be the best spent 2 bucks ever as far as saving time and fuss.

Sorry to hear about your Mom, ... I hope the clearomizers work out for you .. if not, maybe someone in the mods forum can help you figure something out that will work for you. Welcome to ECF :)

Peace,
cleo

Thanks Cleo. I think these will work out for me plus I am very resourceful (I can build/fix nearly anything or so my daughter and wife say:) ) I'm sure there has to be a simple solution to apply to these and make them easy to use. I like them too much to let it go now.
