i wonder if you could pull the battery and the charging controller card and use it in a box mod with built in charger.

I think you could probably make a charger easier than trying to figure out the charging circuit for the phone.
Just use something like this maybe.

It seems easy, and i have actually seen circuits easier than this for charging.

You have inspired me Big Daddy.
I spent some time with an old cell phone that i haven't used in about a year. I completed this this AM.... except for gluing the switch, and it works great. There is a 'built-in' battery charger too....
This is nice.
