I started with the V2Cig kit which is similar to the Volt (same KR8 threads, uses similar cartos), but had one manual batt and one auto. I quickly went to refilling, so I messed up a few times and got fluid all over and sometimes into the battery hole. Mine would occasionally stay on and sometimes not activate unless you sucked really hard. But I think it sounds like yours is more of an issue from the factory - like the sensor is too sensitive. I doubt yours had a chance to get fluid contamination that quickly.

One interesting thing I found out with my particular auto-batt was that I could get it to activate by gently blowing into the LED end. I'm wondering if you can get yours to shut off by sucking on the LED end? Or maybe just giving the carto end a quick blow after each drag? Sounds like a PITA, but then again, so does sending it back and being stuck with only one battery in the mean time.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it - blowing into the carto may actually cause fluid to contaminate the battery even more... erm, use this method at your own risk. You may want to remove the carto when trying that out.

Also, there was a vender that had a small starter kit on sale for like $8 for a limited time - I'll try to find it. I'm sure the quality is probably less than the one you got, but for that price, who could complain?

EDIT2: Starter kit for 7.95 - one batt, charger and two cartos (KR808). I've got egos now and almost ordered one myself lol

I was planning on getting the longer manual batteries with my wife's kit, we were intending to get her the standard starter kit so we would get 2 long batteries to use. But I was counting on the SUMMEREND discount and if that ends tomorrow then my entire plan might have to be adjusted as I can not order anything more until Tuesday. I fully intend to post in the SI thread and hope to talk to them there, I just want it to be known however, that I completely understand that sometimes things go wrong, with electronics that has to be expected, and it is not SI's fault that I would have issues with paying to return things. Beyond the issues I am having I LOVE their product and even recommended it to my parents who have been trying to quit smoking for many years. I will see what the people at SI say I should do next and go from there.

Vid, thank you very much, since the SUMMEREND discount may be ending I am not sure exactly what I will be doing now but if we go that route I will let you know and your help will be greatly appreciated. Even if not though, thank you very much for offering.

I also wanted to say, this forum, and the people here have been a great help to me. It is all greatly appreciated.

If you miss the SUMMEREND sale you can use 10voltecf for 10% off, also when I had to return things they provided me with postage paid envelope.

I am so happy I came here to ask about my issues and what to do about them. I put in a ticket at SI, which by the way I did not even know I could do that but under the Customer Service tab there is an option to do so, Toni, from customer service, replied to my ticket in only hours and resolved my issues in the BEST conceivable way. Toni apologized for my issues and informed me replacements were on the way, right after that I had a confirmation email. I am amazed with Smokeless Image in all ways, I confidently believe that they have a great product and I was just a bit unlucky, (Which in all honesty is going to happen sometimes with anything, especially electronics). On top of that Smokeless Image went out of their way, and went above and beyond what could be expected of them in my opinion to resolve my issues. I am so glad I chose SI in every aspect and am ordering more from them tomorrow to get my wife started on E-Cigs. Amazing company and product, I am now on my 4th day of not even a hit of a regular cigarette after 25 years of smoking, and, that is with my wife still smoking around me. Hoping that will change once I get some in for her though.

Thank you to everyone that helped me with everything, and Vid, I might be PMing you an address depending on what I order for my wife tomorrow. Thank you again everyone, and thank you ECF for providing a place for noobs like me to get help and learn.
