I got it couple days ago. Still playing with it a bit before I write a full review as only a newbie can :D

1. If I so choose, can I use 6v batteries with the Nano? If so, specically what kind? I see Deal Extreme mentioned a lot in the general forum--direct me to the wording & type of batt?

2. I've never used an 801---would an 801 adapter make all that much difference? Describe please diff between 801 & 901 atomizer.

3. I cannot get the cleaning & maintainence videos to play properly with my connection. Is there a written version?

hey whatagem

hows things? i too, got a nano not that long ago! quite enjoying it myself

to try and answer you questions

1. no i dont think so. i suppose if you found a 6v battery the same size as the cr123a batteries you could use, but i dont think these exist....

2. The 801 atomiser is bigger, both taller and fatter. I am waiting for the adaptors to come in stock so i can get one of these. What i like about these is that the carts hold a good amount of liquid, which means far less filling, as i seem to be doing with the nano. The draw is also easier i find than with the 901

3. i have no idea about this sorry. to be honest though, there wasnt much maintenance needed. cleaning is basically clean the threads for the cap with a slightly damp cloth and make sure you dry throughly. You can use sandpaper to bring the original matte look back to the gg if you want too. Maybe someone can answer this one better

Thanks bionic:)

Whatagem, about the third question: Dont use the sand paper to polish the GG because you will destroy it. You can do this after years when the GG will have scratces on it. The sandpaper can be used only to clean the button. There is a written version about this, somewhere in the forum.8-o.

If you experience problems about the connection please inform me and I will search to find my post on how to clean it:)

As Bionic said you can clean the threads and the battery connector with a dry cloth

H Gem... You can only use the Nano at 3.6v.

I've only used the 901 and 510 atomizer. I understand the 801 is bigger and holds more liquid so you don't have to top off as often. I've read/heard that it allows for more flavor and that it has more of an 'airy' draw. These things are subjective so...

A couple of us are currently working on some written instructions which should be available soon. Take care not to put your Nano on or next to a metal surface(s) such as a desk/table or keep it in a change/key container as it will cause the atomizer to fire. Make sure to keep all the threaded surfaces clean - a little alcohol is good for cleaning these. You can clean/maintain the button with very fine sandpaper (1000-1500). Imeo made a video on how to do this that I'll dig up and put here for you. I use a soft polishing cloth - the kind used for jewelry - to clean the outside.

EDIT: I'm slow.

no worries--my father has been a machinist for 30 years. If something happens, I am sure he can polish it up for me

Question about my atty....
It is July here in Texas and we are getting 100+ temperatures Farenheit reguraly. I work in a factory-like environment. It is easily over 100 F inside. Could this be why my atomizers don't seem to last long?

Yes it a good reason because the atty is a resistance and if its hot all the time it will die sooner:). It is affected but not the way you think but an affection is always there

Well your daddy is a machinist! Thats nice, he will take care your GG like no one else:thumb:

Yep, dad loves to make ashtrays, bowls, whatever, even though he no longer smokes! He is completely addicted to the nictoine lozenge--but after smoking for almost 40 years, we can accept it.

so imeo, have a suggestion for keeping my atty cooler at work? has anyone had this sort of problem?

of course, once i quit smoking, maybe i can get a cushy office job ha ha! (I probably wouldn't be able to sit still for 8 hours a day--i'd go plain nuts)

The auto feeding system will do this work too. It will not let the atty going too hot. I will make it, but first the GGTrans must come out to the market. Then I will have the time to think better and make it.

Thanks Suzi, only one correction to your post. If you put the GG on a metallic surface you will not cause a short circuit so you will not harm it, but the atty will start working and it will get burned after 1 min or less continously working time

really? that dosen't sound too good.

So in your avatar your doing exactly that? Did that metal armor start it up and burn up the atomizer? Is that why your holding your head?

Sound like electrical trouble if you can't even set it on something metalic without it starting by itself?

Yes Robert thats it. If we had a competition here you would be the winner:lol::lol:

There is no problem with metallic surfaces with the Trans. Issue is fixed;)
