Hello everyone, well met, and brightest greetings!

I have been lurking on this forum ever since I have made the decision to quit this disgusting habit that I have engaged in for the last 18 years. I have to compliment you all on how informative and good natured the posts have been thus far, as well as incredibly useful in making my decisions. I do have some questions and if anyone would be so kind as to point me in the right direction, I would be most grateful.

After doing my research, I have decided on getting a 510 (preferably with the green LED), doing the tea bag mod and exploring the world of different flavored juices. My problems are as follows: I live here in the boondocks of Costa Rica where you see more ox carts than actual automobiles on what passes for streets. It's beautiful, untamed, and very tranquil here but receiving any kind of package from the US or elsewhere takes anywhere between 2 weeks to a month regardless of premium delivery service.

What is the shelf life for nicotine juice? I have heard from some sources that it is one month which would be virtually undoable for me.

Would a starter kit, PCC, and an extra atomizer be enough for me to start out with or should I get alot more considering the unavoidable shipping delay?

Are there any companies willing to ship to Costa Rica? Most are not due to the distance involved. E cigarettes are very much legal here, but the mall in San Jose only carries a european model ($400!!) that does not allow for any customization or the use of any kind of user chosen juice.

I thank you all for taking the time to read this and I am excited to make the switch and ultimately quit these disgusting analogues. They are only $0.75 a pack here, so the upgrade will be more expensive but far more worthwhile.

Hi mate, E-juice should last you up to 24 months if stored in a cool dark place.

You could easily get a years supply and store with no problems (best to get some samples first though, make sure you find a few flavours that you like before making any big purchases).

Edit: my first kit consisted of 3 batteries and 3 atomizers, you might be better getting a pack of 5 attys though if shipping is going to take a while, you don't want to be stuck waiting for new ones all the time.

2nd Edit: I suggest a model with a manual battery rather than an automatic one, the manuals are generally regarded as superior to autos...and try emailing the folks at...

they seem happy to ship all over the place (no green LED models if that is really important to you though)

Hello Doctor Who,

I see that you mention the tea bag mod. Before you launch into that it might be an idea to get used to your e-cigarette as it stands without any modifications. Then, when you DO decide to try something different, you'll have a baseline reference point to measure against. Otherwise you won't know whether it's an improvement or not. Good luck!

You might give a look to Eastmall, their website says they ship worldwide.

I don't think you will have a problem with shipping, but get a few (3-5) extra atomizers and some juice flavor samplers in addition to what you have listed, maybe an extra battery, while you are paying for shipping. You should be good. The most important thing is patience. All of the units have their quirks, just work through them. Don't think there is a perfect E-cig out there, there just isn't.

I fear we will give you so many suggestions, it will make your head spin.
Even so, I might add:
Consider a usb passthrough, it will save you enormously on batteries (if you spend much time around a computer.) It also seems a good idea considering how long you have to wait for mail. They also make wall plugs that passthroughs can plug in to. Not sure how well they work, but I have one on order and can't wait to try it.

If you can get it, I'd recommend that JOYE 510 (black) without a box. You get TWO e-cigs for $35. Then, like everybody else said, about three extra Atomizers.

I go through atomizers fairly fast because I'm cleaning them wrong...but my batteries seems to just go on and on.

Get as high a nicotine content as you can afford. Then buy some mixing juice--it's pretty cheap. Use that to cut it down to your level of taste. That way you don't spend as much on regular smoke juice.
