Okay my new Reo family I'm having a few small problems.
1) My new to me Reo is leaking a bit on the inside not a lot just enuff to make a mess. I tried squonking it with the door off to see if I could see where it was coming from. Nuthing . The tube seems tight and the O rings looks okay. I'm just a bit lost after that.

2) My RM2 came in last night so I wrapped a .65 coil and wicked it. It taste a little burnt and fairly hot(enuff to irritate my throat). I have raped this coil countless time before but hay stuff happens. Wrapped a new coil and wicked it and its the same. What on gods green earth did I do wrong?

Leak on the inside: prime culprits - split in the tube or worse - a crack in the nipple that the tube push-fits onto. I notice you said "new to you". In either case a rebuild kit will fix it.

Pics of your RM2 build will help, what you are using as wick etc. It's quite easy to strangle cotton wick and i have even managed it with RxW!

It has a new upgrade kit in it. As far a wick I use the Japanese cotton. Here is a shot of my wick and coil. Not the bet I've ever done but the RM2 is a different setup than im used to.

I'm not the world's expert on cotton builds - but i know enough about RM2's.

2 things - coils needs to be closer to the edge of the deck and at a height such that it's directly in line with the airhole.

Don't obstruct the juice-feeding hole with any wick. And try using a little less cotton, whenever i look at a cotton wick, if it has "shoulders" on it that are wider than the coil, i think is tending towards being too tight and that will burn, so try thinning it out a bit.

As for the leaking - watch the rebuild kit video and you can see how to make sure your 510 and nipple/tube assembly are tight. Rob has one here:

And Super_X has one too.

Yea definitely needs to be opened. I think the lack of air is making it to hot and and burning my juice.

sloth nod of approval on that and sounds like you found a few other things that if not direct culprits could certainly use snugging up for a better vape. onward christian soldiers this man is on way to vape heaven :vapor:

Don't watch my vid. Seriously. I did it wrong. Robs video shows how to CORRECTLY do the gaskets. The silicone gasket NEEDS to go in first then you can slide the post and Teflon wafer thru.

My guess is the leak is coming from the silicone gasket being damaged.

That's what caused my leak on a grand rebuild I did the wrong way. It took months to show up. I wound up rebuilding both of my "previously rebuilt" grands the correct way.

As for the harshness - did you verify while firing with cap off and wet wick that there are no hot legs (wire glowing from the coil to the posts). That will produce the harshest of vapes.

Other than that what Trunker wrote is spot on.

My coil was good. I think I was choking out my wick and a lack of air flow
