Hey my friends, I need to share what I just experienced. For some reason, I bought a pack of smokes. Lit one up on the way home.

The most god-awful taste. I can't even describe. Cigarettes NEVER tasted this bad. Seriously. I took a drag. Awful. One more, just to confirm. Jesus. Moderators, do what you have to, that's fine, but that was the most ....ing horrible thing I ever experienced. I threw it out the window.

It was like smoking some gassy, chemical crap. I HATED it. Horrible, for real. I thought I was making a horrible mistake buying cigs and smoking one. No, it was a terrible enlightenment for me. I can't recommend it, but at the same time, I can. I can't believe I ever smoked them, all day every day. That was the most noxious crap I've ever experienced. I won't ever try that again.

I've read on here of people smoking while they vape, or trying it at some point. Let me tell you, if you haven't smoked for awhile, it is absolutely the WORST experience you will have. I can't stress strongly enough how bad. Gassy, chemical, noxious. I've been never been so happy to grab my PV and enjoy a sweet vape. Cigarette smoke is beyond horrible. I wish I could describe it. I felt like I was sucking on the tailpipe of a car. No kidding. It was worse than that.

Thank God I found vaping. I don't give a rat what juice you like, or how you vape it. Smoking is deadly, and you only have to try it once after vaping for awhile. It cured me. I will NEVER smoke again. Anyone with a mind can feel free to copy this for friends, or the FDA, or whoever, I don't care. Cigarettes are Death, and you only have to try one, after 6 mos of vaping, to know it for sure.

I was one of those that transitioned from smoking to vaping. It took about a month. The last two days of smoking, I would try to have one before bed. Two puffs off a cig and I had to put it out, BOTH of those last two nights. They were awful! That's right, no cigs all day and just tried to have one before bed. Ugh!

I can only imagine how nasty they would be now. Yuck! In a way, I'm glad you got that out of your system :). The curiosity factor is no longer a temptation for you.

I can honestly say that ECF is a major part of helping me stay off cigs and on vaping. It is stories like this that help me keep temptation at bay. Thank you for sharing! :D

I'm happy for you Ice! My secretary chain smokes and never eats (skin and bone literally). She came in my office after smoking Friday. The smell of just-smoked breath mixed with the staleness from never eating almost made me puke on my shoes. It was atrocious and nauseating! This is one of the best habits I ever broke...

Hang in there!

Nice testimony Ice. And good for you!

When I started vaping, I told myself it would have to push cigarettes out of my life. I wasn't going to put any undue pressure on myself to quit. If I wanted a cig, I was going to have a cig and that's all there is to it. I finally widdled it down to near nothing but would still have one in the morning. I jumped up to about 5 - 8 per day and widdling back down again. If I want a smoke, I have a smoke. When I feel like pressuring myself someday, I will eliminate them altogether. But after 40 years at a pack and a half a day, I refuse to ruin what has been a very positive vaping experience so far. And you're right Ice, they taste like crap!

I am so happy they taste that bad to you.

I wish I was that lucky. For me, I quit for 8 or 9 years and then one day lit up and thought it tasted great. I was soon smoking regularly again and worked my way back up to 2 + packs per day for the next 9 years. Hopefully, this time I won't ever go back.

I hope you don't either Buggsy. You have lots more living to do. :)

Buggs, I had quit for 9 months and had a hit off of my son's cig. It tasted good to me too. This time though, I have a MUCH better option that tastes WAY better. I think that is the key. :)

I couldn't believe how easy it was to replace cigs with vaping. I vaped and smoked for a month because I wanted to quit on my b-day at the end of Sept. I literally had to force myself to keep smoking up to the end of the month even though they tasted like crap compared to vaping. Now after nearly 5 months smoke free I tried smoking a cig again and had the same experience as you, Ice. Why/how on earth I kept up with that habit for nearly 40 years beats the hell out of me!!!

Glad to know I'm not alone in going back to remind myself why I hate smoking. I agree, I wouldn't recommend it either, but then again would... just to remind yourself how horrible it really is.

I did the exact same thing, after about a week off them and vaping out of curiosity I lit one up, took one drag and almost puked and threw it out. I am actually very glad I did because unlike some friends I have turned on to vaping I have not had a single desire for an analog since I started.

I originally took up vaping in November of 2010. I continued to smoke analogs, although somewhat less. I had to quit analogs because of lungs, So i gave up both vaping and smoking "cold turkey" on Memorial day weekend 2011. I put on "alotta" weight, so I just started vaping again late January of this Year. I have started "dropping" the weight:2cool: An added benefit is that I found HHV:toast:

Testify, Brother Icepoet! Testify!

I can't even stand the smell of stinkysticks on other folk anymore - it makes me heave.

Recently, I spent just 15 minutes in the home of 2 heavy smokers. Neither of them smoked while I was there but when I got back into my truck I was surprised at the heavy odor about me. Returning to work straight after, a co-worker sniffed and asked me, "Have you been smoking?"

Bleuuch!

Maybe I am weird, but I still love the smell of a cigarette while someone else is smoking it. Hate the smell of stale cigarettes on someone though. And ashtrays. I have no desire to smoke cigarettes again. Been vaping for 3 years now after smoking cigarettes since I was thirteen. Back then it was legal for me to buy cigarettes and we could even smoke in junior high and high school in the designated areas. Oh how things have changed.

Yes, the Bull Pen was what we called the designated smoking area at school.
