I've been a member of the forum for awhile but I have lurked on and off for all of that time...

I'm now ready to take the plunge. I have my credit card in hand and I'm ready... But MAN am I LOST!

My backround is that I smoked for years, a pack a day of Newport 100's until 2005 when I quit cold turkey...
Now I am smoking again, I have been for about a week, only one cig per day lol But I cannot deny the relaxation and everything I am feeling from the nicotine. I actually had a nervous breakdown two weeks after I quit and I've been on tranquilizers daily ever since, since I've been allowing myself my daily cig, I haven't needed my "as needed" pills. I'm just calmer!

Anyhow, here is what I'm after:

No manual battery, no button...
A PCC.
Easy to refill carts because I'm the hands on sort who wants to do this myself.
Preferably a starter kit with two full cig setups.
A workhorse that will last a long time with proper care (I don't often come into money I can just blow, I need something that will last, like at least a year of light daily use)...
Something that isn't going to break the bank (Under $100)

Any ideas?

Go to your local smoke shop. You can get it immediately, no shipping costs, and in my case, the clerk let me try one. He even haggled the price down when i started adding flavored cartridges and other accessories.
honestly, i spent 120 dollars last sunday on one from my local smoke shop and i regret it SO BAD because i found the joye 510 for LESS than half!! i hear it is much better anyways, everyone says the 510 is the best out there

I agree with the 510 votes...KR8 is another good option, but I use a 510 type model and love it.

Cignot has by all accounts excellent customer service, here's the kit and you can opt for Auto batts: cignot

I got mine from strictly for the same cost (though I think shipping was free). No issues there, didn't have to get in touch with cust serv since everything worked great: strictlyejuice

Since you smoked newports I might look into Halo or Tasty Vapor for a good menthol type juice. This is the hardest part though...who knows what nic level (mg/ml) you'll like best or exactly what type of flavors. You might look in the classifieds for a cheap assortment (but make sure you're really getting a deal by comparing to new prices).

Hope this helps, and happy vaping once you get your kit! :)

The Joye510 with PCC is a good option, you also may want to try some NewPure e-juice from Halocigs.com. My Bro was a NewPort smoker and he swears by the Newpure after I gave him a sample that came with another order, he says it is very close to the NewPorts. I'm not a menthol guy so I can't say so for sure. Unfortunately they only sell in 30ml bottles which is a bit much for trying a flavor out, but there is a coupon code you can search for that will help the cost and also plenty of reviews on here to help find if it's the right juice for you.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Get a Joye 510, and rethink that automatic battery, especially as a beginner. You will inevitable overfill the carts, and that can ruin an automatic battery.
Chances are, you were not one of the very few smokers who did manange to smoke hands-free, so you had your fingers at your cigarette a lot, anyway. Not much of a difference with a manual battery.

Welcome Jenna! I would also agree with the Joye 510 from Cignot. The products are great and if you have a question or need help, the ladies at Cignot cannot be beat for customer service. You will find everything you need to get started and then some! Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Certainly agree with AlexTM on the automatic battery. The manual is so much better especially not having to worry about overfilling and killing the batt.

I second the FreshSmoking Deluxe Nwprt. :thumb:

Best menthol I've tasted so far and I've tried Drew's, Dekangs, you name it, I tried it. It's so popular that it goes out of stock all the time so I always stock up whenever I see it in stock. Their customer service is great too, it amazes me how quickly they reply to my questions.

It is my favorite and trust me I've tried many

Thanks guys :)

I am currently smoking some brand called King Mountain... I came into these ciggerettes unexpectedly, I did not buy them
They are King Mountain Light 100's... God if you asked me 5 years ago I would have said they were NASTY, now I don't mind them...
But the question that comes to me is:

How do I know what strength of nicotine to purchase for juice?

Is there any way to find out how much nicotine is in this real cig I'm smoking?

I'm seen some sites with like 6mg and up but cignots lowest is 18mg I believe (well 0mg too but that's not going to help me).. I would rather start as low as is comparable to these "analog" cigs than just shoot in the dark and pick something...

No good way other than to just try out various levels.

Is there any way to find out how much nicotine is in this real cig I'm smoking?

Erowid Tobacco Vault : Info on Nicotine Content of Cigarette Brands

I don't see you're brand there but just check a few 'light 100'. Likely around .4 to .8mg per cig.

I'm seen some sites with like 6mg and up but cignots lowest is 18mg I believe (well 0mg too but that's not going to help me).. I would rather start as low as is comparable to these "analog" cigs than just shoot in the dark and pick something...

You could get some 0 and some 26mg and blend them. If you get something too high or too low, you'll be smoking analogs. I smoked ultra lights and started around 18mg - 24mg will give me hiccups (early warning of too much) and now I vape around 12mg - but that has more to do with the device than the ejuice - a bigger battery - iow, a mod - will get more vapor and hence more nicotine to you. So I suggest get a small 5ml bottle of 0 and a small bottle of 26mg and then a bigger 20ml? bottle of 18mg in your first order. You might also pick up a mega battery at cignot if you can afford it.

Then for juice after your initial purchase, get samplers:

... until you find what you like.

Here's my take on some of the common tobacco flavors:
